I just love this. Ordered it Sunday, it arrived today (Wednesday) via USPS. No problems with packaging; blanket was in a self-return envelope if there was shipping damage (there wasn't). It's a little narrower (12") than I realized, but it will work for back issues, and boy, is it plenty long enough! AND it's washable! I have one for home and one for work. I sit with it to watch tv and lay it on my lap at work, it keeps me very warm. And doesn’t raise the electric bill like the space heaters do. Also I will put it on the back of my chair if my back is hurting and it helps a LOT!!

    • My cat keeps stealing my heating pad!

For whatever reason, everytime I get up when I am using my heating pad, my cat will be cuddling with it when I get back! She has never done this with my other pad, I guess it is because this one has that nice fuzzy cover. This pad works pretty good and I like the size. It s perfect to put behind my back when I am in the recliner or across my arthritic knees when they hurt. My only complaints are that it can get a little too hot on low. Also, I wish the it wasn't so bulky where the connector is to the pad itself and that the controller was a bit further from the pad. That bulky part sometimes sticks me in the back and is uncomfortable and the controller can pull the pad down when I am sitting up because the controller is dangling off the floor. ... show more

I saw heat max#3=90watt (not hot, feels like 130F to me) with a meter. Nice cord about 8ft total with switchbox, about 6ft without. My instructions are marked 105watt capacity. Dead simple operation to select lo/med/high. This has a 4wire plug connection, and the heat seems carefully ramped and controlled to limit temperature/power, so there is probably a thermistor in the pad somewhere, I may try to characterize it later. Whenever I switched to a different heat level, the power would reset to a low level (usually 2watts), and then start ramping up to the operating level (I saw max 90watts), until the thermistor is satisfied/limiting the power output. This is for my wife who has shoulder pain/strain and after testing it, she tentatively approves this one. I chose this one for her because I did not see "as many" reviews with scorched photos, and it looked like simple operation with a conservative shutoff time. ... show more

After reading other reviews, I've been keeping a layer between me and the pad while using (shirt, thin bed sheet), and I haven't had any issues so far! Very nice heat that builds up over about 10-15 minutes. I usually have to take a nap once I'm done using, because it makes me feel super cozy and dulls any tummy/period pains quite well! Warms up pretty fast and can get really hot, so be careful. The auto/safety shut off feature is also very good and if you use it for instance during a nap (or a zoom call😅) just gives you the peace of mind. Though there are 2 issues I have had with this pad. 1. There are no button indicators showing what is the level on each of the three. (Frankly speaking after 3 month I’m still winging it) 2. The adapter and cord connection to the pad are at a weird position and length which makes it almost impossible to be used via leaning into it while seated or heat the shoulders. ... show more
