Knowing it’s a “bed cane” , I purchased it in the hopes I can use this for my purpose instead of a wider bed rail. Having fallen (rolled) out of bed more than 3 times within a year period from PTSD nightmares I’m concerned I’m pushing my luck not being badly injured (ie: hip injury). I placed the device to about my chest height while sleeping hoping that leaning into it before a full roll will wake me. We shall see. Assembly was ok if you study the directions and images carefully. Cleverly designed. There was a packet which included 2 wood screws (for what ?) and 2 needed bolts but no allen wrench was supplied...but I had one left from a previous Amazon purchase. ⚠️Please don’t neglect attaching the safety strap ! ... show more

This is one of the best presents I have received. I have back problems and find it difficult to get up and move around in the bed. This railing is just the thing to help with both. Using the belt that goes around the box springs make it very sturdy and safe. The pocket on the side is not really well made but I would buy it without the pocket. If you mount it nearer the top of the bed it is completely out of the way when getting in or out of bed. Recommend it for anyone but especially for anyone needing help in bed whether that is due to surgery or age or chronic pain. Just received my bedrail today. My son put it together very quickly with no problems, no missing hardware. The storage pocket can hold my 10" tablet, phone and tv controller. No more lost remote! Prompted to buy since I had a bad fall this week and I was amazed how quickly the product arrived. I have a 21" deep queen mattress with the boxspring and it is on the floor because of my falls. Now I have a handrail I can hold onto, not only getting OUT, but also IN the bed with more stability. Have used it twice with no wobbles or other difficulties. We did not use the security strap provided due to the bed being on the floor, the thickness of the mattress and how very stable the rail is because of the quality construction and weight of the mattress. It is a great product so far and I would buy again (would be great to have an extra in case of travel since it can be taken down) and will certainly recommend! 😀 Will update in a month or so.
