I can't speak to the heat resistance. These are plates, not a skillet. I use them to plate food, not cook food. That seems like an unusual aspect for a review of plates. Lets get real, no one puts plates on the stovetop or in the oven to actually cook food. Do they get hot when a steak is placed in them? Of course they do. Having said that, I can tell you that these plates are visually beautiful, easy to clean, the sides help to keep food from sliding off the plate, and they are very aesthetically pleasing. It is exactly what it says it is. I've run it through the dishwasher almost every day for the past couple months, and it is just like new. It is big enough to hold normal cooking utensils plus a fork or spoon on the side, or it can hold a good-sized pancake turner. I have many cups and mugs but tend to use these mugs every day. I don't know why but I like to use these. I have the Starbucks mugs which are the same size and shape. I stopped using the Starbucks ones and instead grab these Dowan mugs every time. Anyone else out there who for some reason always reach for these mugs? ... show more

I really enjoy this, its super cute and perfect to hold my spoons as I am cooking. One thing that people might think twice about is the width. It can probably hold max, two wodden spoons, any other spoons and they'll be pack.

I love this little spoon rest. It’s pretty large and beautiful. I have a bright white butter dish that sits next to this and this is not bright white. It’s like an eggshell. But it works well and washes super well. I recommend it.

These are huge mugs. The handle comfortable to hold, and the bug keeps my coffee hot for a long time. The mugs we ordered each have a different pastel color and they are beautiful. Truly a great buy.
