I've got a concave tub (concave means it's bowed down not up) which has a shower installed post fact. I haven't had any issues until recently when my partner started showering with me. Suddenly there is a need for increased friction on the tub's surface. This mat does the trick. The only issue I have is that the mat bunches near the drain-end. But on days they aren't around I lift one end up and lay it flat again. That seems like a normal, human response if you don't have bad joints. Though if you have bad joints I don't recommend showering with someone in a tub/shower! I don't know if there are other products with a better price-point, I didn't check. Most of us have discovered that textured-bottom bathtubs are slippery. Thus began my search for a mat that would work on a textured surface. I have tried a few that were useless...until I discovered this mat. I had high hopes for this one as it appeared to have large suction cups on the bottom. I scrubbed my tub and the mat and tried it out. w00t!!! It stuck to the textured surface! Beware-not all suction cups will adhere. This thing was in storage so long that it wants to roll up, wont lay flat. Upon further inspection half the suction cups were bent curled up as well. Another disappointment from China.

I love the feeling of this mat and it stuck nicely. I was sad that it got slippery when it got too much soap / shampoo on it. Would be very nice for taking a bath however because it does cushion nicely
