Charger looks nice and keep batteries topped off. If using for Lifepo4 batteries, it takes a very long time over a couple days to charge batteries up, even when the batteries were at 80%. Charged them to 13.6 volts

    • Good 6V Charger, But No Warranty
My desire was to individually top off a bank of eight(8) lead-acid 360Ah deep cycle 6V batteries in storage, to avoid winter freeze damage. I bought four(4) of these chargers so that it would only take 2 days (not 8 days) to do that. This charger is unusual in that it delivers about 5.5A into 6V batteries. Most small and inexpensive 12V/6V battery charger/maintainer products prominently advertise their 12V charging current (say 4A), and neglect to mention that they only deliver 1A into 6V batteries. So this charger is fairly unique in that respect. But it cannot deliver 1A into 6V if you want to do that. Also, there appears to be no way to contact the manufacturer via website, phone, or e-mail, so their stated "2 year warranty" is worthless, and I deduct 1 star for that reason. One charger arrived in a special test mode which blinked all the lights on every 2.5 seconds, could not make it work properly, so sent it back to Amazon, and they promptly replaced it.     • Not worth the cost..
This is a glorified charger... talking about how it desulfates and what not, which it really doesn't do. I picked this up as a lower cost alternative to a different brand, hoping it would not just maintain a charge, but also desulfate, while also having the ability to charge at a faster rate on batteries that have gone flat. Boy was I wrong. When it starts up.. it does through the desulfate part and basically it goes in battery maintenance mode. It never really desulates.. I know this because I had a set of batteries that need to be desulfated. This is in a vehicle I don't drive often. I've had it sit for over a month and the truck has always started. Recently, I started getting a message saying the truck was going into battery saver mode. To make a long story short, I originally hooked up my .75 amp trickle charger to desulfate the 2 batteries in the truck. After a few day on this charger the battery saver warning disappear. What I found was that if the truck sat for 3 or more days, the message came back. I figured the batteries needed to be desulfated, so I purchased this.. As I said before, I see it basically skip the desulfate portion and go into maintenance... Because of this, I ended up buying the same brand of the .75 amp charger with the desulfate feature, but the new one is 1.5 amps.. This new one did the trick. After a few days of the other brand on these batteries, I no longer get the battery saver mode message, even when I've had it sit for 2 weeks. If you're going to buy a battery charger and just need to charge, get something else at a lower cost because the extra features on this just isn't worth the mark up. ... show more

    • You MUST choose the Mode prior to connecting to the battery!!!
The ONLY shortcoming with this product is that you MUST select the mode BEFORE you connect to the battery. Meaning, the charger must be plugged-in to AC power and NOT connected to the battery in order to select the Mode of: Motorcycle, Car, Winter, 6v-Fast or 12v Lithium. Once the Mode is selected, connect-up the battery and you're done. If you connect to the battery BEFORE you apply AC power, the Mode selector doesn't work (and no charging occurs). The good news is that once the Mode is selected, removing the AC power (or a power outage) doesn't lose the Mode setting... so long as the charger remains connected to the battery. Besides that small annoyance, it seems to be a good charger. ... show more

Great device and very affordable. I bought another charger for 5 times the price of this and does the same job. I recommend the adapter to use the cigarette lighter which makes the plug/unplug way easier.
