Read the instructions. When I attached it to my battery, the battery still read 8.5 volts. After turning the ignition switch, the vehicle still wouldn't start. I'm thinking that with the leads attached to the battery, the voltage should read at least 12 volts. The I remembered the instructions saying that a blinking green light means the battery voltage is too low and the BOOST button should be pressed and the vehicle started within 30 seconds of pressing the BOOST button. This thing works very very well. I love the compact size. It started my diesel truck easily. My friend needed a jump and his battery was complement dead because it wasn't charging... Used the power boost mode and it worked effortlessly... No need for jumping cables. Oh.. and it charges very fast.

Projectfarm tested this thing and for the money this is a win. This little unit really is amazing. I have a 30hp diesel tractor that sits for weeks between use and the battery is weak and won’t start, especially when it’s cold. This little thing cranks it up quickly with no problem at all. I tried it on my diesel generator and that didn’t stop it either. Surely it wouldn’t start the duramax right? I clipped it on, boosted it, hit the glow plugs and It cold started the 6.6L diesel in 20° weather. And it CRANKED it quick. Not even a struggle! I’m thoroughly impressed. I have a few noco smaller packs and they suck compared to this. The noco GB40 will barely and I mean barley start my civic. For the price I will get a few and keep em in every vehicle. ... show more

As a member of AAA over the years I had often called to have my dead battery jumped. Great service but I had to wait for a truck to come out and address the issue. My brother-in-law introduced me to these jump starter boxes and I couldn't believe such a brilliant thing existed. How simple and time saving! My Ford F150 only gets driven twice a week, to change the side of the street it is parked on. Not enough to keep the battery charged up. I ordered the GOOLOO GP4000 just after Christmas, it came the next day, and I began using it immediately. I still can't believe how well it works, and it's so simple to use. No fuss, no muss. I bought this jumper because it was allegedly, highly rated and had a significant amperage rating. Also, the price was fair. When it arrived I was surprised at how small it seemed, for the rating. Also, charging is from a usb port so I was very disappointed at first. Then, I took it out for a try and it was like carrying around a lightning bolt. Incredible power started my farm tractor faster than any other prior battery jumper, and they were much bigger and heavier. I used it to start my daughter's Honda Fit after the interior light was left on for a couple of days. The car fired right up with no problem. The size is very convenient, and everything stores nicely in the case. This is a great little jump starter that'll fit in just about any vehicle. Its easy to use and store, and if you need it, you'll be glad you have it. The only drawback is that the jumper cables are pretty short, so if you're alone you'll have to hold the box in your hand while you start the car unless you can find a nice spot to set it down safely while you start the car. This year already I used it twice to help someone and it sat in my car for about 3 months went to charge it just in case it needed it and it was still almost fully charged.
