AI summary is confusing as it says "...will charge for 10-12 hours"; actually, it'll maintain a full charge indefinitely because it has overcharge-prevention circuitry. Also, it won't begin charging if polarity is accidentally reversed on connection. I've used for years on a European car with an AGM, 95ah battery that I drive maybe 1x/week. Does what a battery tender should. It is simple to use and fairly intuitive operations too let you know the status of charging. Perhaps it was me, but it definitely wanted to have both positive/negative battery terminals on the battery connected, and not a grounded negative on the frame etc. The Volvo's battery has a positive terminal under the hood for jump starting, but the actual battery is under the floor of the rear end of car. I could only get it to charge when directly connected to the battery.

Easy hook up and works fine. When powered up and the battery already hooked up, this unit came up to Lithium battery type - not correct for my application. The Mode Switch, the single control there is, did not seem to do anything. I went back to the reviews and saw that one of the earlier reviewers found that you must switch the battery type before hooking up the battery. That works. There is no mention of the Mode switch in the directions at all. - IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL IF A NOTE WERE INCLUDED or the instructions modified to show how to properly use the switch.
