I was trying to use a synthetic dye to black out a pair of shoes and needed to keep the water at a constant near boiling temperature. I didn’t want to mess up the kitchen and went looking for something like this. I plopped this thing in a suitable plastic container, added water, and it heated up to temp just fine. Didn’t seem to mind being mixed up with dye either although I don’t know how safe of a use that would be long term but it worked great for me. ... show more

This comes with a separate digital thermometer which means I can know when the water is just the temp I want ... in the dishpan for washing dishes, in the sink for washing up, and tonight in the bathtub!!! Read and follow the warnings ... never touch the water until you have unplugged the heater. Use only a heavy duty extension. Always be sure the heater is totally immersed. I'm impressed and happy I bought this ... I have a cabin I go to in the summer and can't wait to take the heater! ... show more

My water heater went out , do to California law a permit is required to replace a current water heater . This process takes two week to obtain meanwhile we waited this product did the job . Takes a while to heat up but is great , does an excellent job .👍

I have bought two of these..I use them to accent my inflatable hot tub. They work well but life on them is very disappointing. I use it about once or twice a week to assist in heating my hot tub. I leave it in the tub whether it is in use or not. I would rate my use on this device to be low. The life of it is very poor, I would look elsewhere for a similar product.
