We have moderately hard water and over the years, its damaged our pipes and faucets and when we wash dishes, it leaves spots and stains. We also had itchy and dry skin and until recently never realized that this was also due to the hard water. A friend recommended the NG4L and after hearing how its benefited them, we ordered it and it took a plumber less than 30 mins to install. Ours is inside the garage since it only needs flushing out once every 6 months. From the moment we installed it we could see and feel the difference. Our water feels 'soft', showers are different, the water tastes and smells cleaner, there's zero spots or stains after dishwasher cycles, our skin is no longer dry or itchy. We 100% recommend this product. It pays for itself by protecting you and your home and it is by far the simplest and most effective way to eliminate hard water.

This saltless water filtration is superior to my salted old water softener. Not only does this water softener soften the hardest water that we have into Crystal clear drinking water. Our house is now fully filtrated and this unit is the best. There was however a broken part, the ball valve on the bottom, they sent one out the same day after I advised them of the issue. That is customer service and I really enjoy the fact that I didn't have to fight to get a part. I have already recommended this to several of my family and friends. Also, if you're handy, you can install this yourself. You just need to know how to sweat pipes, solder them, and know how to use a blowtorch, and the correct piping available to you. I also purchased the 8-month filter. The one that comes with the unit is a 6-month filter. All of the plumbers that I've asked said that these filters last a lot longer than what they're advertised for. The majority said that as soon as we get lower water pressure it's time to change the filter. I don't know if this seller can verify that or not. I know you're supposed to clean the mesh filter as well. I would imagine that would catch most of the lime scale and sediment. To clean The metal mesh, I would imagine we could just submerse it in CLR, and then do a thorough cleaning. Overall awesome experience and they have proves to me that customer service is Paramount to their product.

If you use PVC piping you must install the teflon tape correctly or you’ll end up with leaks. The proper way to install teflon tape is to twist it into a long string and apply it in the treads. Then apply 2 flat wraps of teflon. Following the manufacturers recommendations will lead to leaks. Forget the teflon paste. Follow my instructions and you will not have leaks of the filter body inlet and outlet threads. You’re welcome. The filter appears to be doing its job as stated in the product description.

I recently had the NG4 water filter installed, and I’m very happy with the results. The taste of my water has noticeably improved, and I can actually feel the difference on my skin and hair when I shower — everything feels softer and more refreshed. One of the biggest advantages for me is that this filter doesn’t require me to buy bags of salt to replenish it, which is a huge convenience. Plus, it’s environmentally friendly because it doesn’t waste any water. Overall, I’m really impressed with the NG4 and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free way to improve their water quality.

Bought this for extremely hard water. It did almost nothing. The water is still hard, leaving skin dry and hair feeling like straw. I noticed a slight decrease in limescale spots on faucets and such, but the water still felt hard overall. Unfortunately, by the time this was installed, we were out of our return period and now we have to spend more for a proper water softener. I would not recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Installed a few day’s ago and noticed a difference In the water same day! Taste, Smell and softer water with no red Iron or dirt deposits in a glass of water! Installed in less then hour. Had do some changes to hang using the pipes and clamps. Liking it so far would by again!

I was looking for something to protect my tankless water heater from mineral buildup and saw this unit. I liked the price and that is does not use salt. So far I am very happy. I noticed that when I took a shower my skin did not feel as dry. Also my dishwasher is staying cleaner and the dishes are coming out nicer. My water also tastes better. I would definitely recommend over the higher priced units.

We had hard water that had a little off taste to it. It does taste better and it is a little softer but just enough so that you can barely tell. So it does work to some extent but I wish we would have just gone with a traditional salt water softener for conditioning. It is a pretty easy DIY install though. *Edit- Ended up returning it and installing a traditional softener...much happier now!
