Freshly minted aliens on earth! And by that I mean we have hunky aliens in new bodies who learned all their social cues from TV shows and old movies. Which sounds like it could be a recipe for disaster, but Hannibal and his brothers did okay. Possibly because the house they're moving into is full of people who are already a little off-beat. Meaning the aliens' social issues aren't all that much of a problem. Which brings us around to Violet. She's quirky. In a fun way, mind you. She's trying to figure out a small business to open (as part of the parameters of an inheritance) and she's...not really loving the idea. Of a small business. Where she might have to interact with people. But she's planning it anyway. Hannibal is hunky, listens when she talks, and doesn't mind helping her with things others might complain about. Which Violet kinda likes. On Hannibal's end, he pretty much knows Violet's the one for him as soon as they meet. Finding your fated mate is everything for his people, so he's all in at first glance. He just has to figure out how to convey that to violet without making a mess of things.     • Slow and predictable
Very easy going story. Fainting in the barn was the only thrilling action, and that was missing something. Wish Hannibal’s gift had played a bigger role in this storyline.

This book was an adorably fun story. The leading lady is quirky and kind and marches to her own drum beat, and the hero is a shy hunky alien trying to find his reason why. Together they start out on the journey to research and end up finding their HEA. I love the mystery puzzle and the way the friends get along so well. It seems like an amazing group and I’m looking forward to seeing which pair hooks up next. ... show more

This is a fun & super sweet story! There is a little 🔥, but mostly it's about Vi & Hannibal getting to know one another while solving a mystery. 😁 Hannibal, Fletcher, & Spenser are aliens, & there's a bit of the "fish out of water" thing going on, done really well. Each brother has special talents & a huge heart, and I adore them! We also get to know Vi's roommate-BFF, Jana, and their landlords, Micah & Tony, who are so fun! Rah I'm a member of the one percent. Kidding aside, this book is a quick fun read. Insta love but it works. A proper storyline and a decent if small world construction. Like the characters, they feel like family. Good read for a gray day

    • Cute story of three brothers from a planet.
There they are gas balls until they grow bodies to fit in on Earth. The problem is that all they have to go on are old TV shows and movies sent from Earth many years ago. If they don't find mates soon, they will not "click" into their new bodies and will lose them.

I usually enjoy the alien romance novels written by Tasha Black, but I never really got into this book. The plot seemed erratic, and many story lines were started, but never completed. The book seemed thrown together. It reminded me of our overstuffed kitchen junk drawer. The book was full of interesting tidbits and subplots, with some good stuff, but it lacked organization and a complete plot line. It seemed to me to be a book that suffered from an attention deficit disorder. Lots of ideas hurriedly thrown out but never fully developed. I am glad I only paid 99 cents for this book.
