Not for heavy duty use
I chose this kit because it did not have any reviews of bending and was more complete than the smaller kits. I used it to remove a lower ball joint, but I completed the job by borrowing a similar tool from my local parts store - a trip I was trying to avoid. When I removed the press, the threads caught on my glove; Had I been using bare hands, it would have cut me. I used an electric impact for the removal - this is less force than I could produce with a heavy ratchet or with a breaker bar. I am not sure if the internal threads had a defect that caused the threaded bar to become so jagged or if the metal is not hardened properly. In the photos you can see the portion of threads that were under tension that have been deformed and some of the metal particles and portions of threads that came free when I backed the threaded bar out. I am returning this because it is not safe to use. The packaging/case and construction look so nearly identical to this one, I am not sure if I will try another set from this manufacturer or try another. If you have intention to use this tool for very heavy duty, you may want to look elsewhere,

I love the sturdiness and quality of this set. It is always good to have tools when the job comes up. With mechanic prices increasing. Sometimes you have to get it done yourself.
