Worked great for about 10 minutes, then when changing the heads out, the adapter stripped and the unit leaked and it eventually wouldn’t stay attatched. They need to make the attachment pieces that screw on metal on both separate sides. Not just one side. Otherwise the metal screw part will strip the plastic screw on attachment … which is what happened. Returning and looking for another. Sadly. ... show more

I bought this to scrub my grout in the independently owned condo that I'm renting. The landlord did not have my place deep cleaned prior to move in so I've taken it upon myself to clean it. This did a great job lifting up the icky grime and dirt. I used the wire brush attachment and it was so nice to get it clean without having to use any chemicals. I just wiped over with a wet microfiber cloth to remove the blasted dirt. It does drip a lot when it's first heating up, so just have a bucket nearby to catch the drips. ... show more

Following the completion of the steaming process, I first fill the tank, then wait for the unit to heat up, and finally, I work in tiny zones while holding a microfiber cloth in my other hand. This step is important since steam helps to loosen the filth, but you still need to remove whatever is raised once it has been removed. After each session, I make sure to remove any leftover water and allow everything to dry out before putting it away, and so far, this straightforward routine has been successful in maintaining consistent performance from week to week. The results of the bathroom were the first great victory. I applied it to the grout between tiles, the area around the faucet, and the corners, which are often where soap residue likes to adhere. In place of vigorously scrubbing from the beginning, I could make a gradual pass of steam, wipe, and then repeat the process just in the areas where it was very tenacious. The steam assisted in breaking up the grit that had accumulated on the tracks of my shower door and the rim of the tub, which is often something that requires a brush and a lot of effort to remove. Despite the fact that it did not immediately remove stains that had been there for years, it did significantly cut down on the amount of time and effort required to restore the surfaces to their previous state of cleanliness and smoothness. The seams around the sink, the backsplash behind the stove, and the margins where the counter meets the wall were the areas that I concentrated on at the time. The steam was able to release places that had become dried on, which would ordinarily need soaking and repeated washing. Additionally, it made it simpler to clean along creases without having to dig in with a tool. I learned that when I was cleaning very greasy spots, I should use shorter bursts and wipe them quickly. If you don't do this, the grease that has been freed might smear, and you will wind up following it about. After making the necessary adjustments to my method, I was able to do the same task more quickly and with less irritation. ... show more
