It fits right in your palm and is way lighter than any machine I've ever used. The fact that you can power it with batteries is super convenient for those times you just need to hem something fast or mend a tear on a piece of clothing while it's still hanging up. I bought this mini sewing machine mainly for hemming pants and patching things here and there. It's not bulky, which is exactly what I was going for. I’ve had big machines before, but they were way too much of a production to set up every time. This one just pull it out, pop in the batteries, thread it, and you’re sewing in no time. The two speed settings are a neat feature. I used the slower setting while getting used to the feel of it and then switched to the faster one once I felt confident. Worked on a denim apron and then a thin cotton curtain, and both turned out decent.

So I’ve always wanted to get into sewing, but the big tabletop machines felt a little overwhelming. This handheld one caught my eye because it seemed easy to start with—and it is! I’ve been practicing with the test cloth that came in the box, and the slower setting helps me get a feel for the stitching. The best part for me is how compact it is. I don’t have a big space to work in, so this fits perfectly in a kitchen drawer. Tried sewing a tear in a curtain and it actually worked better than I thought.
