This coat is toasty warm. It's been 8 degrees when I walk my dog in the AM and I'm totally comfortable. I didn't plan on using the hood but now I love it. I would have liked deeper pockets and a heavier zipper but they are not a problem. It arrived in such a tiny package that I thought it was a mistake. But, it puffed up upon opening. I'm pleased with it.

Best winter coat I've ever had. Thanks for others' reviews. It helped me decide to get this. The price is right too. Good pockets and terrific hood. It is certainly warm which is most important.

My main complaint with this jacket isn't in its function, it's that it doesn't look like the picture presented which looks like more of a puffer style. This jacket isn't that, it's much flatter. You can hardly see the separation stitching. Is that a bad thing? Completely subjective, some may prefer it, some may not, but personally I think the pictures should more accurately show what the product is and that's why I'm docking a star. That being said, it's warm and comfortable. I personally don't love that the wrists don't hug and aren't adjustable, you have a sleeve that sits on the wrist and prevents air and wind from getting in, but the outer part of the jacket hangs over. That's my only qualm from a functionality standpoint. Other than that, the zippers function, it has a good amount of functional pockets all over and the extra bit of length compared to a normal coat is nice. I also think the hood would be better without the fur lining, but again, subjective. (EDIT: a week or so later, I realized the hood's fur lining was removable via zipper. So that one's on me.) (SECOND EDIT: after three full-heat cycles in the dryer, the jacket did puff up...a little. It's still not like the pictures, but there is a slight definition between the stitching now. Also, I removed the little "Fashion Style" brown tags by cutting the stitching with a razor and it makes the jacket look much nicer, IMO. The tags kind of gave it a cheap look, which I know is subjective, but I don't feel like I'd be alone on that one. I also think I'm going to wear this coat almost exclusively without the hood, it just looks much better without it, the hood doesn't really sit and fall cleanly behind you when not in use. It would've been a lot better if you could snap or velcro it to the sides of the collar when not in use so the neck enclosures aren't flopping all over the place.) Is it a good value? I'd say so, it does the job required of it and is priced reasonably. Four stars just because of the slightly misleading pictures. (THIRD EDIT: Am I sticking with my four-star conclusion after my other edits? Yes. It's a good and functional coat that I still believe is a little misleading in the pics and I had to do a little alteration to to make it look better.)

I am 5'6 150 lb I purchased the medium size jacket which fits well however the hood is too small it barely comes up to my hairline so it will definitely be a problem in the rain and snow
