At 283 lbs. set the catch to hold, and the catch skipped beyond it's holding place and let loose the load! assembly for the catch mechanism to big at the through hole of the frame, (plus cheap metal!) allowing the catch to misalign hence failure!!! and did so at less than its rated weight, (supposed to be 600 lbs capacity), However, according to my digital scale that is sensitive to a point so as to be able to piece count a sheet of paper/screws etc.. and or as a shipping scale, i.e., it's an expensive and accurate scale, so the hand winch is the serious failure! P.O.S.! WASTE OF HARD EARNED MONEY! ... show more
