The mixer is decent. The whipping utensil is a but flimsy and the case does not snap on which will open when lifted from the hand mixer I used velcro straps to keep it secured. But it shouldn't be that way not for the cost.

My old handheld mixer was just worn out so even though it had five speeds it only ran at one speed . . . slow. Things I like about this mixer: light weight, the beaters are thick instead of just skinny wires, it comes with dough hooks and a whisk, it does have five speeds that I can differentiate from each other, and it has an adequately long cord. It has a lot of power until you use it with something every thick and then it struggles. All the handheld mixer review sources rated this one the best. The price was certainly cheap enough so that if it doesn't last more than a couple years then no big deal. I really like the whisk for beating egg whites. I just one of the hooks to beat prepared cake icing so it was smooth and easy to spread. Funny how everyone thought the icing was homemade. I didn't tell them it wasn't! ... show more

This works well, but it is very lightweight and doesn't seem very sturdy. I don't think it will last me as long as my previous, heavier duty mixer. I do like the whisk attachment for whipping cream.
