The instructions are clear and easy to follow, so there is not much of a learning curve. The suction cups are quite strong and keep the mixer firmly in place. All 6 speeds work well, and the fastest speed is quite powerful. Consequently, you can use this mixer to make pretty much anything! I highly recommend this product and think it would make a great gift for a novice baker with limited counter space!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have always wanted a stand mixer. The DASH was in my budget. The color is very nice and the bowl is perfect, but I wish the speed was adjusted lower. The lowest setting is very high. Other than that, it is a nice mixer.

Okay, so I DID end up returning this Mixer, but hear me out! It wasn't because it was a bad product, it was just a little too small for the HUGE batches of cookies I like to make for, like, the whole neighborhood. That said, this mixer is seriously ADORABLE and feels super well-made for the price. Here's what I LOVED about it: Compact & Cute: Seriously, it's tiny! Perfect if you have limited counter space. The bright color (I got the aqua) was a total bonus. Powerful Enough: It handled some pretty thick cookie dough (before I realized I needed a bigger bowl!) without struggling. All 6 speeds seemed to work well. Lightweight: Easy to move around, which is a big plus for me. Easy to Clean: The bowl and attachments are all dishwasher safe, which is a HUGE time-saver. The 3 Quart Bowl is Sturdy: I was genuinely surprised at how robust it felt, especially considering the price point. Stainless steel is always a win! Tilt-Head Design: Made it easy to add ingredients and scrape the bowl. Great Value: Honestly, for the price, you can't beat this little mixer. Ultimately, I needed something bigger, but if you're a casual baker making smaller batches of cookies, cakes, or frosting, this DASH mixer is an absolute winner. I really don’t like this mixer. I used it make cookie dough and royal icing. The whisk only stays in the middle so all the batter and mix gets flung to the sides. You have to constantly use a spatula to spoon it off the sides. I ended up just using my hand mixer for everything for more control. Also the lowest speed is very fast, but the mixer only stays in the middle of the bowl and doesn’t work in anything from the sides. Very disappointed in this stand mixer as this was my first that I purchased. Not sure what I will be using this for in the future or if I will use it at all.

I have only one criticism and it's that the color looks a little more green than it does in the picture, but it is otherwise a great product for the price! Not that the color is unappealing, it's just not what I expected. It's more of a seafoam green than a pastel blue. Either way, it's still a cute color that I consider to be a pleasant surprise! I used mine to make a whipped body butter for pain relief and the texture came out perfect! I was very pleased considering that I left the mixture in the fridge for about 15 hours longer than I was supposed to and it completely solidified. I was afraid that it was going to be too much for the mixer, whom I named Timothy (I take better care of my belongings if I name them.), but Timmy handled it like a champ! Timmy didn't struggle or throw any of the mixture around and my body butter came out super fluffy and silky. I was so happy with the results that I even broke out my best jars to store it! Given how little I paid, compared to other mixers, I was very happy with the results! It's well built, surprisingly strong, super cute, the power settings are very gradual, so going from one to two isn't like going from a love tap to a kick in the face. It also has suction cups underneath to keep it from moving and a little lever on the bottom that allows you to adjust the position of the bowl so that the outer edges of the bowl can be given as much attention as the center. You may still need to use a spatula to scrape the edges of the bowl, but it's not like it's missing huge portions of batter/mix/whatever you're making. Solid build and solid performance. I absolutely recommend it!
