  • Job done well at an unbelievable price
Size: Pack of 1
When trying to to run Ethernet from a wall cavity into my crawlspace using a flexible drill bit, I became worried that I would have to dish out $200+ for a heavy duty corded drill after my 18v Ryobi stalled out. Making no mistake, I ordered this little guy and it made quick work of the job. The bit went right through the floor like it was nothing. Am very impressed, and the only thing I would say you should think about before buying is the short cord length, but otherwise I am very impressed and satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • 5-Stars for General Use
Size: Pack of 1
Now that I've used this hammer drill a few times, I'm pretty confident that the negative reviews posted are from those who don't fully understand how to use a hammer drill. If the user can understand its limitations and its proper use, then this can be a fantastic product. I highly recommend tossing the included drill bits into the garbage. If you want this hammer drill to truly perform, purchase some premium carbide-tip drill bits and don't look back. This is not a heavy-duty industrial-type tool. But if you need a relatively cheap, reliable, basic tool for average household projects, this will work fantastic based on my experience so far. It does the job, no complaints. For the price, this is an easy 5-stars. ... show more

  • Good drill - bad accessories
Size: Pack of 1
Overall the drill performs as I needed it to and did the job perfectly, drilling into cinder blocks. And the price is right for a tool I will rarely use. Now the bad... the FIRST time I attached the handle, the collar snapped. And I did not over-tighten it. So the handle is garbage. I didn't really need the extra leverage for my job, and I did not have time to return it, so I lived with it. The drill bits are also garbage. The one I used snapped on the first use. A bit that came with the masonry screws I bought has lasted the entire job. DO NOT rely on the bits that come with this. Have a backup ... show more

  • Well Built and Designed
Size: Pack of 1
I was really happy with this hammer-drill. I'm in the middle of installing railing around our front porch that we had replaced with concrete. After using a regular drill motor with masonry bits with limited success I bought the Hammerhead. I was leery because I'm drilling for 5/16-18" anchors that are located 1-1/2" from the edge; pretty close. The risk of knocking out a chunk of the edge was apparent. The hammer action on this drill is just right to not cause collateral damage. It doesn't sound like a jack-hammer but more like a quieter air-tool, to give you an idea. Not very loud. The holes I drilled were 3/8" x 1-3/4" deep. I recommend starting the holes with a four-fluted masonry bit without the hammer action turned on, to get a straighter hole, which can be most difficult in concrete. Then switch to a regular masonry bit with hammer action. It's still a battle for a straight hole but your chances are better. So far I have installed over 20 anchors with this drill. It is well built, sturdy, heavy and has a 2-year warranty. Nice. It is a good unit for my purpose and well within my budget. ... show more

  • Not durable
Size: Pack of 1
Not durable. The drill worked great the 1st time I used it. The 2nd time I used it, the hammering feature on the drill stopped working and then chuck got loose and wouldn't tighten enough to hold the drill bit.

  • Overall a good drill for the price, but the torque is questionable
Size: Pack of 1
Got the drill to put in ground anchors and half expected the drill to rip out of my hands when I hit a hard stop. What really happened was a surprise, the drill stopped and smoke came out of the rear of the housing. Like it was belt driven and the belt was burning. The torque in not impressive. The hammer aspect didn't seem to do much either. After I let the smoke out a couple of times, the drill still worked away from the anchor. I used a Flex Handle Socket Wrench to finish the job. ... show more

  • Great value
Size: Pack of 1
I bought this (and a high speed drill bit) to drill holes in a concrete subfloor to secure a toilet flange. I had previously only used a regular electric drill for drilling concrete and was unfamiliar with hammer drills. So I was very pleased when this drill cut through the concrete like it was butter. I had tried to rent a hammer drill from the big box hardware store but they wanted almost twice the price of this drill to rent it for 4 hours. Was pleasantly surprised that this drill came with metal and masonry drill bits and a tool for cleaning out the drill holes. For the DYI people out there this is a great value for the price! ... show more
