This is my 2nd Hammerhead tool_ I liked the Hammerhead Angle Grinder enough that when work at the house called for a Hammerdrill .....I stuck with Hammerhead, partly because of the low cost, as I don't know how much I will be needing it at home, so I didn't wanna spend too much, and the fact that I enjoyed the Hammerhead Angle Grinder_ I used this Hammer Drill to install the bolts on a hard rubber street curb ramp to make it easier to park my Automobile in front of my house_ I live in a very small, Old town, up in the Rocky mountains of New Mexico, so the houses were all built from 1880 - 1920, in my neighborhood, so driveways weren't a 'thing' to have when my house was built, therfore i have to pop the curb and park on the front side of the house_ For practicality & Curb Appeal (no pun intended) I installed some pricey hard rubber ramps and drilled 8 holes through the concrete and installed 8 Expander Bolts to hold down the ramps, using this drill, and it worked great_ Only reason I gave it a 4☆ is because, like the Angle Grinder from Hammerhead, this drill didn't come with a 'Kit'....like a Hardshell Case & some starter bits, and a small bottle of Bit Oil_ It did come with a detachable/moveable handle though, as is common with most Hammer Drills_ Its Tight, comfortable, not too loud, plenty of power, and easy to use_ I always use a little oil on the bits to help keep the bits cooler while drilling_ Next i'll be buying the Hammerhead 4V cdls Nut Driver gun ... show more

I needed to drill 16 holes into concrete to anchor/bolt down 2 iron hand rails. My drill wouldn’t get the job done so I reviewed the options on Amazon and chose this tool because the amperage was higher than most or comparable to much more expensive ones. The media could not be loaded. It only made it halfway through the first hole drilled. 2.5 inch holesaw bit in wood... the chuck started grinding as if something broke behind the chuck in the nose of the drill.. it wouldn't drill anymore after that. Chuck didn't come lose either... I checked.. this does have other bad reviews, just add mine to the newest. ... show more

We just needed a simple hammer drill to hang some shelves on a wall that backs up to the CBS. Note: make sure the switch is actually on "hammer mode". The icon supposed to be a picture of a hammer. If you don't make that connection right away, you will blow through drill bits. Once we had that straightened out, it drilled into the CBS in about two seconds flat. I put up an electric mesh fence and bought this drill to make the holes for the narrow posts. I'm in the high desert with very hard and rocky ground. This drill did great.
