Coffee turns out great, has three settings of "Regular", "Bold" and "Robust". Steel carafe is very nice and solid, no worries about dropping and shattering. Looks good, I like the blue light and the timer feature. Very happy with the purchase. A couple things are different: 1) the plate underneath does not stay on for long; carafe is apparently designed to keep coffee hot, which is does reasonably well - but not for as long as with coffee makers where the plate stays hot until you turn it off. This is a minus for some, but a plus for me because if I forget about it I don't return an hour later to burnt, sludgy coffee. So I'm fine with that. 2) Don't try pouring a cup before the pot is brewed, because when you remove the pot the brewing coffee will keep dripping and you'll have to wipe up the underplate later. All other machines I've had (other than single-cup Senseo, of course), stop dripping when you remove the pot, resuming when you place it back in. I like to jump the gun and pour some before the pot is done, so that's a slight negative for me.

The Hamilton beach (46899A) is a very good coffee maker...It is programmable so coffee is ready when we wake up...tastes good, just as good as any other coffee maker, priced right, the carafe is very good quality and keeps the coffee warm so you don't waste electricity like with traditional coffee makers that keep the hot plate under the pot on for hours, with this insulated thermal carafe that is not necessary and saves electricity. there are many more expensive coffee makers however this one and the others do not change the flavor of coffee beans so don't be fooled into thinking the more expensive ones somehow magically make the coffee taste better... lol

This coffee pot is amazing and more than expected! After reading reviews stating coffee stayed hot for a couple of hours, decided to purchase. 1st time i used it, the coffee was still hot 7 hours later! Also, the bold/robust button def does its job! The robust was almost like espresso which will be great for iced. Definitely get this!

The stainless steel carafe really does keep coffee warm for quite some time without the need for warming plate, without degradation of flavor. Watch but ignore the funny video of the woman who couldn’t position the filter basket. That woman does NOT need to be drinking coffee. The individual who complains that the indicator light is too bright can wear sunglasses or go back to her college safe space. There is no problem with pouring, and yes, the window to view water level is only on one side ( boo hoo). Great buy in my opinion. Can’t assess durability yet, but I’m very happy so far.

Greya coffee maker. Easy to use. Attractive and slimmer than most coffee machines. Keeps the coffee lukewarm for hours. (It needs paper filters, which is not a big deal at all). Good value too. I highly recommend it.

Bought this to replace a Cuisinart of similar design because that exact model had been discontinued. The coffee is good, there are a few design features to remember. The first time you use it, make sure the basket is fully in place, the handle has to be on the side away from the water tank, and you might have to jiggle it once or twice to fully seat it. The water tank lid has to be open to open for the grounds cover to open, the lids interfere. The tank cover opens fully with the grounds cover closed. As with other coffee makers of this type, it can be a little awkward to fill the water tank using the carafe. I don't need a clock on my coffee maker because I don't set a timer. The light is pretty bright and I haven't figured out how to turn it off. So my negative feelings are minor peeves. I'll keep it until it burns out or until my ship comes in and I remodel the whole kitchen 😉

I've had a Capresso for ages...the motherboard finally quit and the new models get terrible reviews. I kept searching for just a simple 10-cup coffee maker. Found this one. It fits in the same footprint of the Capresso - meaning - it doesn't take up a ton of space. The Capresso brewed really quick - like a minute - this one brews in about 2-3 minutes. The coffee is strong & hot. The thermal container keeps things nice and hot. Overall, really solid coffeemaker. My only gripe - and this is for all coffee makers in general - wish there was a longer cord!
