  • Great slow cooker. Does everything as expected.
Color: Temp Tracker, Black Stainless
This is a great slow cooker. It does everything I expect from it and is easy to use. Be sure to get a quality carrier and/or case. Hamilton Beach makes a pretty good one. I guess the only thing I could ask for is maybe beep or notice when it is done but that honestly can be easily compensated for by running a timer on your smart phone. ... show more

  • A great slow cooker
Color: Temp Tracker, Black Stainless
This slow cooker replaces an ancient smaller one with no bells or whistles. It is a game changer with all it can do. It is easy to program for time and temperature (read the instruction book first), with a temperature probe to keep track of how the food is progressing. With the probe and water it can even be used as a sou vide bath. It will can revert to keep warm mode when cooking is complete. The size is generous with plenty of room for a chuck roast for pot roast. The pot lifts out of the base for easy cleaning, and can even be used in the oven or put in the refrigerator. The lid has a rubber gasket and can be clamped down with the built-in clamps to allow it to be transported full without spills. Plus, I got a good deal on Amazon. I'm very happy with it. ... show more

  • Love the temperature probe
Color: Temp Tracker, Black Stainless
The reviews all good! Others have mentioned most features but we find the built-in temperature probe is invaluable! We have had a week and had amazing pork shoulder 2 ways...one half to slice, the other tender pull. Next is a turkey he hid away from bargain Thanksgiving recipes. A great purchase. Bring on winter! ... show more

  • Love this Crock pot
Color: Temp Tracker, Black Stainless
I love this crock pot. Works as it should. Use it quite often. Has a warming feature that remains after timer is done. Thermometer is an added bonus.

  • If the house catches on fire, I'm grabbing this before going outside ;)
Color: Temp Tracker, Black Stainless
I'm trying to replace a worn out Stay n Go that I've used for years. I'll comment on this as I go along with first use. It was packed sufficiently with box and cut out foam. All parts accounted for. Crock and lid washed in soapy water. I noticed flecks of aluminum on outside of crock or was it places glaze didn't cover? Former- no prob. Latter- may cause cracking when hot to cold or submerged at length in water (I've worked with pottery a good deal.) I docked a point as this may be significant. Reading directions, reasonably easy. Many languages. I noticed that while my former pot had high/low/warm, this newer pot has high/ MEDIUM/ low/ keep warm. Outstanding! It also has a probe to insert, dial in temp ability, dial in temp you want it to reach, then you dial in the level of heat to use to accomplish that. I'm cooking 2 pounds of boneless chicken thighs in barbeque sauce. I am able to tell this slow cooker I want the probe, to reach 170* temp in medium heat then keep it that temp until I'm ready to sear on the grill. I'll add more when the thighs are ready. The thighs were wonderful, pot roast was tender and moist. Meat loaf I cooked on one side of the crock and baked beans in the other side came out moist. I think the problem I've had with slow cookers is I inadvertently over cook meats leaving them dry. Something I've noticed: when your food is at the correct temperature, you can choose to have the crock switch to keeping it warm or you can program the pot to maintain the temperature once it is reached. I was perplexed at first why you'd choose that over keeping it warm. I realized that making yogurt required the temp to reach 110* and then hold it for severat hours. I also am making lentil and rice soup- another reason to bring up to temp and hold for an hour or two. Several people noted that the electron "dashboard" was not lighted. Well, in some ways that's true. But, as you begin by turning the dial, it lights up. As long as you are using the DIAL, it stays lit. After it's programmed, it goes dark. I discovered today, if you turn the dial a very small amount, the dashboard lights up again. We went camping for a week. I used a smaller slow cooker relegated to the camper. The entire time, I longed for this cooker for it's ease and precision. I made yogurt the other night. I used a gallon of whole milk with 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tbsp of vanilla, brought it to 180* for 10 min in a separate pot, cooled it to 115*, added my culture (the brand I usually buy), poured it into the slow cooker set at 112*. I left it overnight (10 hrs) to keep a constant 112*. It was ready when I got up. I scooped it into 4 qt jars. It's firm set like Greek yogurt and delish with honey or fruit preserves. My family keeps begging for more. I've created a monster! ... show more

  • A huge upgrade from my old crock pot
Color: Temp Tracker, Black Stainless
I love crock pots, and my favorite thing to make is a delicious roast.. I’ll slow cook a roast for about 10 hours with sweet potatoes or little red potatoes, carrots, and a chopped-up onion. It’s one of my favorite meals to make. Sadly, I broke my old crock pot, which was a pretty basic one. I came across this Hamilton Beach and absolutely love it. My favorite feature is the temperature probe. The lid has a small opening where you can insert the probe and monitor the internal temperature of the meat without having to keep taking the lid off. It even comes with the temperature probe, which is a huge upgrade from my old crock pot. I also really like the clamps that lock the lid down tight. Overall, I think this one looks better, has way more features, and honestly seems to cook better than my old one. My old crock pot was good, but this is definitely an upgrade. I love this thing. If you like making roasts or slow cooking meat, the temperature probe feature alone makes it worth it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ... show more

  • Improved version of an old favorite standby slow cooking method for an absolutely guaranteed.
Color: Temp Tracker, Black Stainless
And old slow method to make a tender pot-roast with a twist. The temper probe tells you that the roast internal temperature is tracking at different settings low, medium, and high. This feature helps determine what's going on as the probe measures the progress. Yes, I would recommend this product to anyone wishing to check on the cooking progress without opening the top lid. An added feature is the locking lid used ONLY FOR TRANSPOTING the entire crock without spillage to a family or neighbor's home when desired. Absolutely guaranteed success. ... show more

  • Temperature and travel clips
Color: Temp Tracker, Black Stainless
I am absolutely happy with this better version of the traditional electric slow cookery. The temperature probe is a game changer. No more guessing and over cooked food! The only wish I have is that the temperature was adjustable to say 205 degrees so that I can get a chuck roast to the golden temperature of 205 degrees for shredding. For those who have mentioned that the clips for travel get in the way or that they'd never use them, one can simply pull the metal clip apart at the plastic and remove them to store when in not use or throw them away. ... show more
