I am in LOVE with this coffeemaker! I am leaving a detailed review since this product is new and there are not many reviews on it. This is a dual purpose HOT AND COLD coffeemaker. The COLD brew coffee had an excellent flavor. I used 2.5 tbsp for an 8oz cold brew as opposed to the 2 tbsp I would normally use for traditional hot coffee. The cold brew finished brewing much faster that described in the directions—it took about 3-4 minutes to complete. THE ICE REMAINED SOLID AND UNMELTED; this means that the cold brew function is brewing at the right temperature. Many current cold/hot brewers melt the ice in the cup during the brewing process, watering down the coffee. This one brewed at the perfect temperature and kept the flavor strong and the ice frozen. We added some heavy cream and Ghiradelli chocolate syrup for a delicious iced mocha. The hot brew function is easy to use and delivers a robust cup of coffee. There is also a BOLD setting to amp up the depth of your brew. The filter is easy to use—NO NEED FOR EXPENSIVE COFFEE PODS!! I no longer have to try to fill the reusable Keurig filters and spill grounds all over the counter. This filter is easy to fill and also EASY TO CLEAN! I just rinse it out at the sink and it’s ready to go. There is also no fine particles or grit in the coffee after brewing—the filter does a good job of keeping the sediment out. The water reservoir is also easy to use. Inside the reservoir are markings indicating various amounts (8, 12, and 16oz). Or, you can fill up the cup you plan to drink from with water and pour that into the reservoir. You only put the amount of water in the reservoir that you need! The buttons are easy to use. When you hit the power button the machine lights up; the light turns off when the brew is complete. Simply turn the dial up for iced coffee or down for traditional hot coffee. At the base of the machine is a cup rest with drip tray for any extra drops of coffee at the end of the brew. The cup rest is easy to move and easily accommodates a 16oz cup. If you drink more than 16oz cup then it won’t fit under the machine. I purchased some Strata acrylic tumblers off Amazon; they’re a perfect fit for the machine. Unpacking the machine was easy and there is really no setup necessary. You just need to take the filter out and wash the components for first use. The only quirk I have found with the machine is the filter housing and it’s lid. You have to twist the filter lid into the locking position before inserting it into the filter stand. It’s easy once you find the marks, but you might have a little trouble lining up the marks at first. I am absolutely amazed at this machine for so many reasons. Comparative machines cost $100-$200. Right now Ninja and Mr Coffee have comparable products, but for a much higher cost and with a lot more functions (overly complicated). This machine is affordable and surprisingly simple to use. It makes hot or cold coffee fast. No gimmicks! It’s size is perfect and take up way less space than my previous Keurig 2.0. I will never go back to a Keurig; in the end, all the coffee just tasted terrible no matter how many times I took the machine apart and cleaned it. I highly recommend this product! 1. It’s EXTREMELY EASY to use! 2. It’s easy to clean the filter and drip tray. 3. The filter is easy to fill with grounds. 4. Hot and cold brew FAST. 5. Cold brew tastes strong and has great flavor! 6. Cold brew is brewed at right temp so the ice doesn’t melt during brewing. 7. Buttons are easy to see and use. 8. Accommodates travel cups. 9. AFFORDABLE alternative at $60

This machine does make an excellent cup of coffee but the filter system is a “horror” to clean. Also the filter is somewhat small. It should have been made a little bigger. I found it so awful that I put the machine in a closet and purchased another -Mr. Coffee single serve which is excellent.- I love it.

My first order of this coffee maker didn't go as planned. The unit was defective, and produced copious steam and very little liquid. The heating element was "off" and did not produce hot water at the correct temperature. Fortunately, Amazon sent a replacement unit, and this one works fine. It takes only a few minutes to get a hot cup of coffee brewed from real ground coffee beans, without the additives and plastic waste of a K-cup type brewer (not to mention the bad flavor of old packaged coffee in K-cups). Very little of the water is lost, so what you pour into the reservoir is what you're going to get in the cup. I have not tried the cold brew yet, except to run it through a cycle to see how it works. The resulting liquid is lukewarm, so you definitely need a cup of ice, but it's not hot, so it won't melt a whole lot of ice and dilute your cold brew coffee much. That's actually a surprisingly nice feature of this maker. Cleanup is slightly involved, but not bad. You just need to take apart the few pieces of the top brewing holder, dump the used coffee grounds, and clean in soapy water. If you're used to being a little lazy and doing essentially nothing to a K-cup brewer, well, just stop being a slacker, this only takes a few minutes. I will update with any further developments, but, so far, I like the cup of coffee from this and its functionality is pleasantly simple and effective.

I brew only one cup of coffee in the morning. This is perfect as you can choose how many ounces you want to make up to 14. There is a nice reusable filter. The other parts that hold the filter are very easy to clean. It is not recommended to put it in the dishwasher.

I'm one for reading instructions, but this machine is really simple to use. It has two buttons (power and Bold) and a knob with two options (cold brew and hot). You could get by without reading every letter, honestly. Just pour the amount of water you want in the back reservoir with the cup you're going to use (leave room for any ice or creamer) putting the cup in the staging area, put your grounds in the basket (Ok, yeah, read the instructions for that part, there's a handy chart for the recommended amounts there. Don't go over 6Tbsp), put the basket's case back on the machine (lock it first), choose your desired settings, and press power. In about a minute or less, you have coffee - cold or hot. The cold brew isn't truly COLD, but it's not hot, either. I've attached pictures of the machine making my most recent glass of iced coffee. I start out with a little less than half my glass filled with ice and creamer (I measure about half the glass for the water for the coffee, too, which is already in the machine). The images are in sequence, and by the last image, you can see the amount of ice that has melted. Unless you like really weak coffee, the BOLD button is necessary for cold brew!

I was ready to give this coffee maker 3 stars until I tested the cold brew — I was pleasantly surprised that this did a great job for cold brew — you do need to ensure that you follow the measurements given in the packaging— it’s takes a second to get accustomed to the prep and cleaning but not a deal breaker — I wish it had a extra basket or a way to quickly dump old grounds like some type of handle on the basket nonetheless— I have no complaints — especially since it was a cyber Monday deal @ $44 not sure if I would spend any more.
