Description

Designed to be uniquely simple, The Hamilton Beach stack & snap 12 cup food processor requires no twisting, turning or locking during assembly. Instead, it’s as easy as stacking the 12 cup bowl onto the base, then snapping on the lid. Easy to use - Disc attachments are reversible and labeled, which takes the guesswork out of processing. The label should face up for the desired function. When using disc attachment, do not process foods past the max level indicator on the bowl. FOOD MAXIMUM AMOUNTTO PROCESS Dry ingredients such as crackers or nuts 12 cups (2.8 L) Vegetables or fruits 3 pounds (1.4 kg) Cheese such as Parmesan or Cheddar 40 ounces (1.2 L) Thick sauces or dips 8 cups (1.9 L) Liquids such as marinades or soups 7 cups (1.7 L). Troubleshooting: (1) Unit does not operate on any speed or Pulse - Is the unit plugged in? Does the outlet work? Is the lid latched in place? See “How to Use” sections. Place lid on bowl, making sure to align the pour spout on the lid with the pour spout on the bowl. Is the large food pusher in the chute? The large food pusher must be in place to operate. Is the food chute overfilled? Do not add food above the MAX fill line. The large food pusher must be in the food chute to operate. (2) Food is not sliced or shredded uniformly - Packing too much food in the food chute or pushing too hard on the food pusher may cause the processed food to be irregularly sliced or shredded. Refer to the Food Processing Charts for recommended sizes and quantities. (3) Unit has a burning smell - There may be a residue left on the motor from the manufacturing process, causing a slight odor during initial use. This will go away. If a strong odor or any visible smoke appears, unplug unit IMMEDIATELY and call the Customer Service number. More info regarding troubleshoot available on the user manual.

Top Amazon Reviews

  • Happy as a dog with a new bone!
I know this food processor has gotten some bad reviews, but I tend to look at the combined total of 4 (15%) + 5 (64%) star rating and that give it 79%. I consider that to be quite good for a rating on Amazon. Then, I looked at the fact the ratings don't seem to be about anything other than the product it should be about. Lately, reviews for different products seem to be showing up where they don't belong, which distorts a product's true ratings. With the reviews just on Hamilton Beach 12-Cup Stack and Snap Food Processor (70725A) and an overall 79% 4 + 5 star rating, I then compared it to other food processors and their reviews. After what seemed like an interminable amount of analysis and sorting through reviews, I selected the Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Food Processor (70725A). I had been using my tiny Cuisanart to do at best 3/4 to 1 cup at a time to puree cooked rice with beef bone broth every 3 or 4 days for the dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis for those who want to know. This was really frustrating me since I have to have 1 cup of the mixture per day for the dogs to add to their food. So, enter my having to be out of town for almost 2 weeks and I set out to mix up 2 weeks worth of cooked rice and beef bone broth to leave for my husband to feed the dogs while I would be away. plus an extra day so I would not immediately need to mix up more upon my return. That process with my "miniature" Cuisanart sent my frustration level went through the roof. I was determined to not have to go through that again, thus ordered this Hamilton Beach food processor! Imagine my delight when I as soon as I returned home I realized I apparently had not made up enough for day of "travel recovery" before making more doggie rice/broth mixture. I'm still not convinced my husband did not use more than necessary, but that's beside the point and I turned to open the Amazon box containing my Hamilton Beach food processor which had arrived while I was gone. I decided to cook up the whole bag of short grain brown rice at once and give the new food processor a try. 5 cups of rice + 10 cups of water = a lot of rice. I divided it into 3 portions figuring rice is sticky, it would probably get stuck to the side of the processor and I wasn't using a whole lot of broth to combat that. With the first portion of rice in the processor I added about 3/4 cups of beef bone broth, pressed puree, and quickly shut it off! The processor is rather load and made the doggies bark and bark and bark! I stopped the food processor, they stopped barking. I started it again, they started again. I shut the food processor off and put the dogs outside! Problem solved! Within about 5 minuetes, I finished 8 days worth at 1 cup per day of rice/broth mixture. Happy dance! Literally, I did a happy dance! By the way, dogs also digest the pureed rice better than leaving the pieces whole. Just so ya know. Upon returning home, I also had to look forward to processing 5 large and I mean large pumpkins. Also for the doggies! My adult daughter has also been sick, so I offered to process her pumpkins as well - also a lot of large pumpkins! So, the Hamilton Beach has been working almost relentlessly since October 27th. Enough so, that my hands are very dry from constant washing of them, all the equipment, and the kitchen counter, sink, and stove. So, I've processed: 3 batches of rice/broth puree good for 8 days each for the dogs. 98 quarts of pureed pumpkin (55 quarts for our dogs, the balance for my daughter's dog and family) 16 - 1/2 pint jars for adding to homemade spiced chai (my reward when I get to actually sit down) I'm ready to say the Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Food Processor rocks! I'm my opinion. I've washed it umpteen times without any of the problems or concerns I've seen others state. Maybe I'm being extra diligent because of what and where others have stated they've had food get stuck and either can't get it out or do with great difficulty. I have some small brushes in a jar by the sink for cleaning hummingbird feeders which do the trick quite nicely and easily. The enclosed part on the lid and bowl that create the easy stack and snap feature of this food processor is one area some reviewers have complained about either food or moisture getting into and not being able to get it out or having a lot of difficulty getting it out. Well, I'm not the neatest person as I'm forging through processing our doggies' rice/broth mixture or processing at least 275 pound of pumpkins. I doubt I'm over estimating on the pumpkins. 98 quart jars and 16 - 1/2 pint jars took 204 pounds of pumpkins and I hauled a lot of 5 gallon buckets half full of pumpkin skin, seeds, and guts outside! Between removing the processor lid to pour the pureed pumpkin into the double boiler to keep it hot for canning it, adding mushy, cooked pumpkin into the small hole the black "large food pusher" creates in the "food chute" for hours on end and I had pumpkin pretty much everywhere on the processor bowl, lid, and large black food pusher. I was able to keep the base quite clean despite the plops of pumpkin on the counter - yay! Despite my mess, the bowl and lid cleaned up easily. Yes, water got into the enclosed parts that create the processor's stack and snap feature, but it dried, overnight as a matter of fact. I don't quite understand others complaints that moisture gets in there and never dries. All I can say is that moisture does get in there, but it dried each and every time in mine. I found the key to cleaning the lid and bowl is to not let them sit to allow for any food dry on them. The inside of the bowl can be filled with water to soak if necessary. I was reluctant at first to submerge it in the sink because of some of the reviews, but even doing that any trapped moisture dried. I use the "hummingbird cleaning brush" on part of the "nonremovable motor shaft" in the bowl to make sure all food residue was removed. The "chopping/mixing blade" is another part other reviewers have complained about. I soak it in hot soapy water and scrub! Sponge, "hummingbird cleaning brush," dish bristle brush, rinse, repeat until I'm confident I've gotten all the food from between the plastic and blades. So, far with lots of use, cleaning, and drying I have not noticed any odors or anything of concern. The black "large food pusher" is a bit tough to clean. But, I found soaking it helped to loosen any pumpkin that was stuck inside and then reaching in with a knife and flushing it under running water I could get the pumpkin out. I'm happy as a dog with a new bone with my purchase of the Hamilton Beach 12-Cup Stack and Snap Food Processor (70725A). Our dogs also seem very happy with the rice/broth mix and pumpkins from this processor! It's Corgi approved as well by their owner! ... show more

  • Great Value and Size
I gave my sister my 6qt heavy-duty Kitchen-Aid processor because I hate appliances sitting on my counters, save for my mixer. I sort of regretted it because I cook a lot and love to make things like falafel, which my blender just doesn't work well to make. I knew I needed another one, but again, really hate too much on my counters, but still needed something more than a compact, light-duty processor. This fits the bill perfectly! The size is perfect for what I need, it's powerful, has safety built-in with the feeder (it turns off if you take it out), and best of all, it is easy to clean and once you take the bowl off, it fits in my larger kitchen drawer. I would purchase again, highly recommend. ... show more

  • Warehouse Buy Great Buy💰🤑🤑💵
I make homemade cat food I had a Cuisinart 8 cup took forever because I make so much @ a time and freeze it so I decided to go with the Hamilton Beach snap and lock or whatever it's called. Bought 2 them used like New got a great deal on the both of them. It goes much quicker I went from using an 8 cup food processor now I can do 24 cups at a time so pleased with my purchase so far so good I will update my review later after I've had it for a while. I just used it tonight my cat food recipe I buy chicken breast, chicken livers, boneless chicken thighs 93% lean, ground turkey peas, carrots put them in an instant pot on the meat setting, which takes 45 minutes then I start putting everything in the food processor and grinding it up that's it I make enough to last about four months it's a lot of work, but it's worth it who knows what they put in canned cat food. Or don't put in. I use a 10 quart instant pot and a 6 quart instant pot. Don't know how many pounds it is total but it last about four months I have four cats I read the reviews and there's some issues with cleaning it. I have a sprayer, so I really didn't run into any problems cleaning it I can't say how the other attachments work because I will only be using this to make the cat food but it's perfect for my needs ... show more

  • good processor for the price
I've only used mine a couple times so far, but it seems to work well. Good size bowl, and the snap on lid is a good feature. My only complaint is, even with the suction cups on the bottom, the base of it will make a sudden jerk movement when I first turn it on, and especially if I am pulsing something. I find that I need to hold the appliance in place when I first turn it on so it doesn't move around. I guess it's just a lot of power all at once (??). Kind of unnerving but not a deal breaker. ... show more

  • Maybe a food processor that the bowl won't need me tohold down because of broken tab?
I've had a food processor (the same one and replacements) for 43 years. Everyone of them high or low end had a tab or tabs that broke. You can get another bowl (and I did) but they didn't last either. The motor part (heavy or light) kept going but I'd had it with replacing bowls. This design seems like it might be a winner! Time will tell. ... show more

  • Great Product
I made cheese crackers the day my food processor arrived and it was a breeze. I dropped in 2 - 3 inch blocks of Seriously Sharp Cheddar. Used the shredder option and it was great. Clean-up was super easy. I look forward to using this processor to make bread, cookies, pie crusts, pulverized lemons. All of my baking needs. It's more convenient than pulling out the huge/heavy bowl type mixer. Great buy! ... show more
