They're supposed to be outdoor furniture, and the chairs left rusty spots on my porch. There are rust spots an many areas of the metal parts of the chairs, and they left rust spots on my porch.

I love this set. One issue was that one arm on a chair already had what looked like rust. I kept them anyway because it was such a great deal & a sturdy set. Shipment came very quickly. Much quicker than expected.
