This is the second stand I ordered from Amz. This one received only minimal damage from the shippers. But this time, the Fluval box was enclosed by the Amz box so no damage to product, only outer box. This black stand assembled easily. (Even faster since this is the 2nd one I assembled.) The black finish looks great and no scratches anywhere. Again, like last time, I advise you use your own hex driver and Phillips screwdriver as the small Z-shaped tool they provide makes the job tedious. This time, I got no instruction sheet at all. Good thing I had the other one from the other one I bought to reference. This stand is very sturdy. The weird curvy shape would lead you to think it wasn't. But you would really have to be trying hard to get this stand to tip over. And with the added weight of a Fluval Flex 15 full of water, it becomes even more stable. You get the top shelf for the tank, a small middle shelf, and a large bottom shelf. If you wanted to, you can mount a small window curtain to hide the contents as this stand has no doors. Both of the stands I got match the respective black or white tanks perfectly. Use the rubbery mat you got with your Fluval tank to protect the bottom glass of your tank. I'm very happy with this tank as I've bought two of them. If you ever decide to shut down your tank, this can make a nice little bookstand or lamp end table too. ... show more

    • BEAUTIFUL WHEN ASSEMBLED, PERFECT FIT FOR THE 15 GALLON FLUVAL FLEX
This is a perfect stand for the Fluval Flex. Assembly was a bit challenging as parts are not numbered and you have to figure out what number corresponds to what part. The fit of the parts is good during assembly and a single person can put this together in about 20-30 minutes.

If you have assembled furniture from a big box store you will be able to assemble this ( the instructions are not very good). it was delivered in excellent shape, no chips or scratches. The only negative is a 8th inch gap between the backboard and sideboard. (the reason for a 4 star rating) I used black tape to cover the space. It is very expensive, but where else are you going to find a stand that perfectly fits a flex15gal. Once the aquarium is on the stand the look of the whole thing is beautiful. a nice plus is that it is made in the U.K. would recommend! ... show more

I really like the way this makes my 15 Gal tank look. Really makes a difference. Package arrived just fine. The only negative thing I would say about this is I feel like it’s over priced. But other than that I do love the way it makes the tank look.

Received at the time expected, seemed to be packaged well. However, the assembly instructions are awful and there is a crack in the plastic veneer part on almost every piece (just a few representative photos included). Luckily, it's quite easy to assemble, but not because of the instructions, just by looking at it. Because it's particle board, it doesn't seem like the veneer cracks will impact the integrity of the stand, but it will definitely impact the appearance, which is the whole reason I bought this particular tank. NOWHERE near the quality I'm used to with Fluval....I'm wondering if the seller bought a bunch of "seconds" that Fluval wouldn't sell and that's why the price is lower than anywhere else. Less expensive than the same stand at the local pet store, but you get what you pay for. Very disappointed. No option on Amazon's website to contact the seller. I don't recommend purchasing this from this seller. ... show more

    • Don't use box cutters or scissors to open package
Be careful when opening box, there's no packaging protecting the product so if you use a box cutter you may scratch along the whole side of the stand. It was a little difficult to put together since none of the pieces were labeled and the picture directions are inadequate. It feels solid and sturdy.
