This thermal imager is awesome especially for the price! It came in a nice box which is always a nice surprise and not just cheap carboard packaging. Instruction manual and quick start guide included. It came with a charge so it was ready to use out of the box. It has a nice feel and and design and is weighted well, which to me shows the quality of the tool. I bought this so I could temp check items in my oven for powder coating. This is PERFECT for that, it shows the item in the oven on the screen so I can check multiple sections of the part being coated and it gives accurate readings from my testing thus far so I can confirm the entire part is up to temp. Definitely recommend if you need it to check remote temps, I played around and checked my air vents in my house, my stovetop to see how hot it was getting, it's just kind of fun to have even if you don't really need it Hahaha

This thermal imager works so much better and faster than the other 2 that I own. Higher resolution and frame rate. I’m surprised it didn’t cost more. I also love that the interface is simpler, there arnt many options to have to worry about changing like on some imagers. So it’s pretty much always ready to grab, point & measure. The color pallet works very well and is the pallet I usually pick on my other imagers. So no complaints about “missing” options from me. I also really like the pistol grip style of it as it’s much easier to hold/point than the phone style imagers. All in all, This is the imager I would recommend to hobbyists and professionals as it’s cheap enough that hobbyists can justify the price and it tells you enough for it to be useful for professionals without breaking the bank. Today I used it for verifying a customers a/c concern. Customer stated that their a/c wasn’t blowing as cold as they remembered from last year. Instead of waiting for a temperature probe to equalize with the vent temperature over a few minutes, I was able to check the vent temperature within seconds. Their Freon charge was a bit low due to a shader valve leak. After repairing I was able to show them that the air coming out of their vents was much colder than when they brought their vehicle in. Visual evidence of a performance increase helps the customer trust your services!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and feel of this device as soon as I opened the package. Initially I had my doubts as to how good of a tool this thermal camera could be, but after checking for thermal leaks around my house and finally using it for testing electronics I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The device is intuitively easy to use and satisfyingly robust. I'm sure there are more advanced thermal imaging cameras on the market but the price of this device is a great deal. The battery indicator says that it still has almost a full charge after approximately 2 hours of use, and since the device is rechargeable, with a USB c type cable, I'm not worried about needing extra batteries.

This thing is better than it has any right to be. The image clarity is better than i expected for the price. When moving the image around, there is no lag or stuttering. I like that you can change the image colors, ranging from blue/red to black/white. The menus are intuitive to use, and you can choose between turning the imager off, or just sleep mode with a quick wake up. Ive been using it on and off for about a week and still havent had to charge it. It fits in the hand nice and feels solidly built. Overall, i would choose this again without hesitation.

This tool works awesome! Easy to use and I was able to use it to detect a faulty thermostat in my car. Really easy to use and multiple different contrasts to pick from. I used my laser temp gun to verify how accurate it was and it was spot on. Gonna use it to see if I have any poor insulation in my house next!

I bought this to look for hot spots on a printed circuit board. As a test I soldered two 0603 1k resistors next to each other on a proto board, and applied 7V, so about 50 mW in a 100 mW rated part. The thermal camera allows one to select the focal distance, but the closest setting is 0.3 m, which is about 11.8", so I set it to 0.3 m, but I took the thermal images 12", 6", and 3" from the board. Looking at the attached thermal image, one can easily see the hot spot, and below it, the high emissivity unused PCB pads. Not the greatest thermal imager I've used, but for the money, it is darned good, and will do what I need.

This is a great tool to have for anyone to use. It’s super easy and helps find areas that have temp differences. Great for finding drafts near windows and doors. The battery holds a great charge as well have only charged it once so far. There’s multiple vision sightings and easily flip through them. It also take pictures so you can use for later on if you need them for a reference. Great tool to have and easy to use . Also feels good and sturdy when holding in your hand. Also accurate temps as well.
