  • Fantastic for the price.
Size: 8 Inch Powered Underseat Subwoofer
I installed this in my 2021 Colorado crew cab W/T. Although my stock sound system was alright, the low end left a little to be desired. This sub fits perfectly under my drivers seat and is virtually unnoticeable. Build quality is much better than expected. As Youtube reviewers have tested it, such as OldSchoolStereo, the internal amp is actually rated for decent power. The 30A fuse confirms this - it will actually run between 150-250W, which is plenty of juice for such a small sub. The ennclosure is entirely metal which is great for dissipating heat. The terminal connections are good quality and the instruction manual was even clear and concise. I tapped into my FL speaker signal wires for high level input and the sub auto-powers on without issue. Tuning was easy, just set the LPF to around 160Hz and turn up the bass boost inversely to reducing bass response on factory speakers from the head unit. This prevents the speakers from having to work so hard to produce low frequencies and leaves it to the sub. I was able to achieve a much louder, crisper sound from my speakers and the sub fills the low-end gap nicely with much more efficient response than the stock speakers can achieve. The included bass knob is useful for fine-tuning the sound of different songs on the fly, as I listen to all sorts of music. That being said, frequency response does fall off after ~48Hz. You can't expect much more from a 6.5" driver (yes, the driver itself is only 6.5, the box width is 8".) IT also doesn't get exceptionally loud, but its enough to add a nice punch to the overall sound and male my rearview mirror shake a bit. I'd say it's comparable to what you'd get factory in a mid-2010s luxury sedan, such as an Audi A6 or BMW with the premium sound system. Longevity remains to be seen, but I will update if anything goes wrong with it. So far, so good! 3 Weeks in, and I'm quite satisfied. ... show more

  • Awesome Sound Upgrade for My 2013 Honda Civic! Awesome Sound Upgrade for My 2013 Honda Civic!
Size: 10 Inch Powered Underseat Subwoofer
As a single dad of three kids, I had an Audi A4 with a premium sound system. My kids and myself loved that car, mostly because of the killer sound system with subwoofer. Then I got married and her two kids, her Honda Civic, with my three kids, and my Audi meant we needed a van. I submitted my love away from my Audi and to my wife and our five kids, and traded the Audi for a new van. I was now the proud owner of a Honda Civic with the worst sound system on planet earth. The speakers were literally made of paper. And this was to be the vehicle I spend 1.5 hours a day in commuting to work. I was allowed to spend some money on upgrading the sound, but not a lot. My quest began in the search of the highest quality speakers and woofer my meager budget would afford. I got some Kicker speakers and tweeters and I found this under seat subwoofer for a great price. Due to budget restraints I had to keep the OEM head unit, so I purchase a LOC2SL line output converter to tie the subwoofer to the two rear speakers. The hardest part was locating a reliable power source for the LOC2SL in the web of unnamed wires within the Honda Civic. I gave up the search after failed attempts and settled on just using a fuse tap and tapping into the fuel injector pump fuse slot near the steering wheel underside for the LOC2SL power. This worked out great since this slot is only powered when the car is turned on. I just had to run a other power line from the front to the rear of the car, which was a bit of a pain. Long story short, I achieved reaching a sound quality very comparable to my Audi A4 with premium sound and subwoofer. This woofer really bumps and shakes the butt and bones. Having it under my seat took a little getting used to. I've always had a woofer in the trunk before and having it under my seat really gives a body massaging experience. This woofer does fit perfectly under my driver's side short Honda Civic seat. It won't shake the neighborhood or anything, but it doesn't lack enjoyment power. It's more than enough for enjoyment inside the car rather than making a public announcement of how annoying you can be to neighbors. Having the bass turned up full is actually too much in my little Civic. I enjoy bass heavy electronic music, and this definitely satisfies my bass heavy requirements to enjoy music on my long daily commutes. My children are bass junkies too, and they approve. I achieved Audi A4 premium sound quality by adding this subwoofer. After months of daily bass hitting usage in my car, in 110+ deg Arizona heat, I approve of this subwoofer. ... show more

  • Good value and bass is not overpowered Good value and bass is not overpowered
Size: 8 Inch Powered Underseat Subwoofer
The subwoofer works great for small areas. Also the install is very easy you just need to connect it to the battery, ground it, and connect it to your head unit either through rca or speakers through the passive option. My head unit is the best but seems to have worked perfect since even at the highest option it hasn’t caused any distortion. It has a small kick to it so if your expectation is to have it blasting it probably won’t be the one for you. If you want to enhance the base but not going overboard then I would say this one would be great. They usually have some sales on it and the price is normally great value. It fit perfect under the seat of my jeep wrangler. ... show more

  • Dont buy! save your money!!!!
Size: 10 Inch Powered Underseat Subwoofer
I received it and had to wait three weeks to have it professionally installed. It sounded great. I loved it then one day I got in my Roxor and the radio came on and the Sub-Woofer didn’t. I checked all the fuses. Took it back to the installers they checked it out and said everything is hooked up correctly all the fuses are good. It ran great for two weeks so the installation is correct the next thing would be to look in it. that would have cost me more than the unit cost! It only worked for two weeks, and I only used it not more than a total of three hours in that two-week period, “Hell” I’m over 78 years old, it's not like I was rocking out 24/7, that’s some pretty expensive music wouldn’t you say? That’s what you get when you buy made in China!!! ... show more

  • Outpreforms it's price point!
Size: 10 Inch Powered Underseat Subwoofer
I bought the 10 in version for my 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum work truck to add some low end to the factory premium Bose system, I installed a line driver to up the voltage to the factory amp to get some extra wattage out of it and, it worked like a charm and almost doubled the output, so the factory amp is pushing about 45 watts rms now, and even with the extra power and Jbl Gto replacement speakers I installed, This Sub has no problem keeping up with the rest of the system with only two thirds of it's gain knob turned up. It's not as good as the Jbl one, But it's a close second, for the money It's the best one available IMO. I helped a buddy do his classic 79 Trans Am with all Hyanka coaxial speakers and they impressed me with the size of the magnets, how good they sounded for the money spent and how well they handled the 100 watt 4 channel amp he had. So I gave this 10 in sub a try, Glad I did to... Some advice if you buy one, measure the area you want to put it in, There is a fairly big différance in physical size between the 8in and the 10 in ones of these. The 8in is 2.5 tall, the 10 is 3in tall, The 10 is almost 14 in long and the wire attaches to the long end so its more like 15 in. The 8in is only 10in long + wire. These get pretty hot when you run them even fairly hard, I recommend putting half inch feet on them so they sit up off the carpet for good air flow all around. Maybe even a whisper quiet 12v or usb fan on it.. Anything you can do to keep the heat down will make the sub last longer. ( the same is true for anything electronic, really ). Also take your time with the settings, It is capable of putting out pretty good bass, But you do have to dial in the settings with your system to get the most out of it. It's best to run it from a dedicated subwoofer out, But you can run it from a full frequency out if that's all you have, I did in my Pathfinder. Put on a song with vocals and turn up the Low pass filter knob on the woofer until you can't hear vocals coming out of it anymore. Tun up the gain until it's just a hair louder than the main speakers, turn down the bass in the EQ or settings on your head unit, Then turn up the bass boost on the sub until it sounds how you like. ( This will make your regular speakers sound cleaner also as they are not trying to produce so much bass, Let the sub handle that, that's what it's made for. ) Then drive it and listen to all sorts of music for a few days, making small adjustments to taste, I would leave it on the back seat floor until you're happy with the sound and then put it under the seat after so you don't have to keep taking it in and out from underneath. You can run power to it either from the battery of the car with an inline fuse or off the fuse box inside the cab of the vehicle with a fuse tap off the accessory side of the fuse box. ( A fuse tap is the easier way) If you don't know about that, look up car fuse tap on YouTube. Plus a fuse tap on an Accessory fuse means it only gets power when the key is in the ignition so you don't really need to run a remote line from the radio if you don't want one, You can just jump a wire from the 12v input on the sub to the remote input right next to it. I just bought two 8in ones of these for my car, One under each seat ( limited space under the seats in this car so can't fit the 10 in one unfortunately, I'll leave another review for the 8's after i get them installed.. Good luck! ... show more

  • More bass than I expected.
Size: 8 Inch Powered Underseat Subwoofer
I was looking for a cheap upgrade for my 1990 Toyota 4x4 pickup and this under the seat amp/sub combo had a lot of good reviews and it was affordable. I didn't expect much from it, but figured it would add to the weak 4" speakers in the dash and the 4x6 speakers I added to the cubby holes in the extracab walls. This was an easy installation and added a LOT of bass! Its small size made it slide under the passenger bucket seat perfectly so it's out of the way. I tried a few different genres of music, and it works pretty well for everything. I'm not even running it full volume because it punches pretty good in a pickup truck cab. No distortion from what I've noticed. I would add one of these to another basic system in the future because it's an affordable and easy way to add some punch to your sound. ... show more

  • A few months in and still enjoying this purchase
Size: 8 Inch Powered Underseat Subwoofer
This amp and sub definitely won't win you any competitions or impress the entire neighborhood when you leave the house. What it will do is fill the missing low end in your car's sound system and make music a lot more enjoyable. I installed in a 1st generation S10 Blazer in which I also have aftermarket rear door and dash speakers. This little sub pushes enough bass to take the stress off my door/dash speakers which both improved my bass performance AND help light up the mid and high range. The result is a really night and day difference from my setup without this sub. For the low price and increased functionality you can't go wrong. It wouldn't fit under my seats so I mounted it to the back of my rear bench which I keep folded down 99% of the time. It's a pretty heavy little amp/sub combo and feels like good quality, metal construction and metal grate over the woofer. I stack stuff on it all the time without any problems/damage. ... show more

  • Decent deal I til it wasn't
Size: 10 Inch Powered Underseat Subwoofer
I have had this for three months and I am happy given the price I paid. This won't rattle the windows but will give you nice base to fill out your system. Now my 6x9s are not trying to make really low base. I was surprised how much better the music sounded. Again this isn;t a ground pounding sub but if you want some a useful low cost way to get more bass this worked for me. The unit does not have a 10 inch woofer... more like 8 3/4 so a little truth from the maker would be nice. And after 4 months the internals went up in smoke. ... show more
