The sub works great and added the missing bass in my factory sound system. The install takes a little bit of time and knowledge, but it's well worth the effort. When the sub is installed, you will need to adjust the settings that sound good to you. I bought this for my 170WB Sprinter to put under the front passenger seat. It wont get obnoxiously loud to annoy your neighbors, but it can still get down to very low frequencies though its not as powerful at around 30Hz and below - which is to be expected. However, its loud enough and good enough out of the box. I was contemplating on buying more expensive and established brands, but for <100$ I thought what the heck. I was very pleasantly surprised that I bought another one 3 days later for the rear section of the van to spread the lower frequencies over a large area. Yes one of these wont get loud enough to fill the entire van with sub 30Hz - but if it was that loud, then it would have been too loud to annoy everyone (inside and outside the van), which wasn't my goal. So I got two of them. If you tune it properly and match your other speakers - which can be done with aftermarket units with built in DSPs or with External DSPs, it will blow your mind. In my case, and at this price - having multiples of these producing clean 20Hz-60Hz at moderate levels works out really well, and it takes up zero space. ... show more

If you have any sort of knowledge about audio stuff and is looking at a sub in this size, you know it will have limitations. However, in my opinion this little bad boy really over delivers. Also considering the price. Sturdy construction, really solid sound considering its size. I have the similar sized pioneer sub in another car and would say this is just as good or maybe even better. I had this sub/amp installed by Al&Eds in Santa Monica, Ca. They'd never heard of this brand and I admited I was taking a risk based on the reviews. I recommend having pros do the installation. The little Woofer under my seat puts out great sound. I bought this thinking I had purchased a 10 inch sub but when measured, it was an 8 inch. So don't let the box fool you. Still I'm happy with the unit and the 100 watts RMS is enough for now. The box says 480 peak watts but that's fuzzy math. Still hits pretty decently and worth the money if you don't have space. May need a second Woofer under the other seat. ... show more

This is a fantastic little sub as long as you're not looking to rattle windows. I would put this at the same level as a *nice* OEM subwoofer in terms of power/clarity. Matches the factory sub in my 2012 X5 with the premium sound package, possibly exceeds it. It's also extremely compact and easy to place somewhere out of the way. That said, this isn't any easier to install than a traditional sub/amp combo despite what the ad says. It still requires all the same wiring as a traditional sub; power, ground, and 12v on/off signal. It's a bit disingenuous to advertise it as such when the only difference between this and a traditional sub is the lack of the foot of speaker wire that goes between the amp and sub in a traditional setup. Regardless of that, this is a fantastic little unit. If you're just looking to upgrade a car that came without a sub from the factory and don't expect show-winning performance, this is the unit to get. ... show more
