This thing is awesome and way more useful than I expected. Plug it into your phone and you instantly have a real thermal camera with surprisingly good detail. Setup is simple, the app is intuitive, and it works immediately without any fuss. Being able to see temperature differences in real time is both fascinating and incredibly practical. I have already used it to check insulation, spot drafts, look for heat loss, and just generally understand what is going on behind walls and ceilings (see photo!). The media could not be loaded. I recently picked up this thermal imaging camera that plugs directly into my smartphone, and I have been thoroughly impressed! I have an android phone and my wife has an android phone, both phones work flawlessly with this. This product also comes with an adapter for iPhones. This little gadget has really given me peace of mind and time saved. The setup was super fast and easy—just plug it in, download the app, and you're ready to go. My favorite feature with the app is that the app will start as soon as you plug in the device, no more trying to figure out what app you need to use. There are many different uses for this product and one of them is looking for hotspots and cold spot in my home. As a homeowner, this is where the camera really shines. I used it to perform a quick "energy audit" of my house. I was able to find some spots in my home that I could improve to keep the cold out in the winter and the heat out in the summer. This capability alone is worth the price, as it helps you find and fix problems. I try to also work on my own vehicles as much as possible. The camera is fantastic for diagnosing vehicle symptoms. If you're a DIY enthusiast (or like saving money), homeowner, or someone who likes to troubleshoot, this is a must-have tool. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this because it was on SALE they cross out $199.00 and on Sale at $99.00 which I thought it was a great deal! Also the specs were great compared to other for the price and I had IOS and it’s said that it’s on the description that IOS is coming soon and it came with the lighting adapter from type c to lighting.. So I thought cool why not just used my old phone till the iOS app to come.. So I finally got all my equipment and everything to start my cell phones repair business and I came from long way to coming along till there’s still no iOS app for it!!!!! I bought it march 31st 2025 and then I just went to this item to return it back since it doesnt fit my needs.. Then I find out I can’t return it!!!! Because they close it on May 2nd of 2025 which I never even used it yet and I wonder why they only give you short period time to return it but by the time you notice that the iOS app isn’t coming then be to late to return it ……… ANOTHER THING soon the sale was over the original price was $120.00 which another bull crap because it was never $199.00 before.

This camera works very well. It is as simple as plug and play once you download the app off of the play store or the apple store. I haven't tried it with apple but I have with Android. I can say it sees everything. You can adjust the distance it reads heat from a couple inches to a few feet. Comes with a case to protect the camera when not in use. Type-C port renders fast pictures. I use it to see hot wires in electrical boxes at work or on machines.

I recently picked up this USB-C Thermal Imaging Camera, and overall I’m really impressed with what it offers for the price. I’ve been using it for home inspections, and it’s proven to be a handy tool to have around. The thermal resolution gives a clear picture of temperature differences, which makes spotting heat leaks or insulation issues pretty easy. The USB-C connection is convenient and works well with my phone. The image quality is solid, and the camera picks up subtle differences in temperature surprisingly well. The app could also be a bit more intuitive—adjusting the color palettes and overlays took me a bit of trial and error. The build feels decent, though it might not be suited for very rough job-site conditions. Overall, this is a great value for DIYers. It balances price and performance nicely, and while it’s not perfect, it does exactly what I need it to do.

US Apple App is available but the camera does not work with iOS 26 Apple mini 12. May be an issue with the adapter, works well with my wife’s android 👍
