The gun safe has nice matte black finish on metal surfaces. Fit & finish is solid throughout, even the steel cable that it comes has great nice looking semi-transparent coating on it and looks great. The hinge on the access door is spring loaded and opens silently without assistance. Keyed access option is great, in case you forget the pass code.
