This safe arrived very quickly and I found it to be a great buy. The safe is very well made, it is heavy and solid with a tight fitting door that would be difficult to pry. The hinges are internal which makes it very secure. As you can see from the pictures the safe will easily accommodate two guns with magazines or one gun with a lot of accessories and supplies. The safe will take a code of up to eight digits so it can be very hard to break in to. The keys light up and you can silence them so intruders will not be alerted plus there is a light inside that comes on when you open the door! The unit is good size (13.5”X11”X3.2”) but it is low profile so it will fit in most night stand drawers. It also has quick access and the door pops open when you enter the combination. The safe comes with mounting supplies and backup keys if needed. I already own a single gun safe, but this unit will replace it because it is an excellent product. ... show more

I have been looking for something made of heavy gauge steel, pry-resistant, and discreet to secure my valuables for a while. This Moutec PS03F Gun Safe hits the mark in all those areas. When I first received this safe in the mail, it was fairly heavy, which is a good thing. Not only was it packaged well, but it also included mounting hardware (screws & anchors), a securing cable, and 2 high security keys. The keys are not like a typical lock key, but rather grooved on both sides to prevent picking of the lock. Another nice feature of the safe is the built in LED light that illuminates for about 30 seconds once opened. The lid is spring loaded, so once you enter the code (4 to 8 digits) it pops right open. The default is set to 1-2-3-4, but reprogramming the code is easy: press/hold the program button for 5 seconds, enter your new code, then press the program button again; the safe will beep 2x and your code is set. I found that the light does not come on when the safe os opened with the key, but that's of no concern to me. I suppose if you want to discreetly open the safe, it's better that the light stays off. You can also silence the beeping of the buttons by pressing/holding the "1" button for 3 seconds. I like these design aspects of this safe. You will need 4 AA batteries if you want to use the push-button combination, but obviously not necessary if you just want to use the key. All in all, this safe is heavy gauge steel which makes it secure, has 2 options to open (code or key), and it is easy to operate. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good value at a fair price. ... show more

    • Sturdy safe with easy setup
This seems like an excellent value for the price. I opted for the 2 gun pistol safe without the fingerprint scanner, and am happy with the function, weight and size of the safe. One of the things I like that I was not aware of prior to delivery, is that the internal light will go off automatically about 10 seconds after opening the safe. This way, I can leave the safe open when I carry my firearm without draining the batteries, and then simply close the gun into the safe when it's not in my holster. I strongly recommend using name brand lithium batteries due to shelf life longevity and nearly zero risk of leakage. Put a piece of tape on the battery door with install date, and change the lithium batteries every 3 years, or sooner if you get the low battery indication. This is no time to use cheap batteries......your life or someone else's life may depend on the batteries! ... show more

We bought this specifically for our travel trailer so we can secure our guns within the trailer and not have to be concerned the local laws about having them in the truck cab or bed as we travel around. It was large enough for my full size pistol and my wife's carry gun along with one magazine for each. Programming is simple and the safe works as advertised. Mounted to an area where I can reinforce the backplate with a steel bar. Our only quibbles are we will need to have the sides and top padded since everything inside the trailer gets jostled around. We'd love to find a safe that could be vertically mounted with a padded enclosure that swings out from the wall, but probably a very niche market. ... show more

    • Great Safe
I bought this safe to replace a quick draw, narrow profile type that would no longer fit a full size pistol after I added a red dot to it. I wanted a safe that could still be discreet, fit a pistol and extra magazine, and mount against a wall. This safe is solidly build (heavy) with no flex and a thicker base for mounting. This would be nearly impossible to rip from the wall with the correct type of bolts sunk into a strong stud. Being mounted vertically and down low, I was worried about button access and the ability of the door to spring open. Happily my worries were unfounded as the buttons are big and easily visible and the door springs open with a lot of authority (enough to push things out of the way). The pistol fits nicely and is stable, though in this configuration putting two in (without modification) would make them staying in place on opening unlikely. There is a small light inside for night visibility and the buttons can be silenced so as not to beep. Overall, the safe is well built, exceeded my expectations, and was a perfect match for my needs. ... show more
