  • Fantastic Digital Piano for Beginners and Pros Alike!
The Donner DDP-90 Digital Piano has exceeded my expectations! The 88 fully weighted keys feel very realistic and responsive, making it great for both beginners learning proper technique and more advanced players. The included three pedals are sturdy and function just like an acoustic piano setup, which adds to the authentic playing experience. It’s packed with convenient features — connecting to a PC, tablet, or phone is seamless, and the ability to play music via U-disk is a fun bonus. The sound quality is impressive for the price, with rich, clear tones, and the built-in speakers fill the room nicely. The piano also has a sleek, modern design that fits well in any space. Overall, it’s a high-quality, versatile digital piano that offers excellent value. Whether you’re learning or performing, the DDP-90 is a solid choice. ... show more

  • Absolutely worth it.
I love this piano. The sound is very good quality and the keys are perfectly weighted. The pedals have the perfect amount of control on the keys to either singularity hear each keys sound, glide into eachothers sounds in a harmonious echoing melody or sharply intertwine when playing. The volume dial is great when you want to share your tones with others like your own concert show or when you want to just play for your own enjoyment. The input for the headphones is a added luxury to drift into your world when playing and the overall functionality of this piano is absolutely divine. the color a smooth satin finish is an added awe to it's tones. Great for all levels assembly is easy but heavy enough to have a extra hand if needed. For the price of this beautiful piano it's a steal for how beautiful the quality and how well it plays. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • great piano for beginners and beyond, works with headphones!
I'm an amateur musician and purchased a Donner Electronic Keyboard around Christmas and loved it! My son is the real piano player though, and with him going away to college it was either give him "my" keyboard, or get him a new piano. Obviously a "full" piano is not an option for a college student, too heavy, too expensive (especially since pianos need to be tuned regularly, etc...) and this Donner piano is a great option. It was really easy to assemble and while it's MDF and not solid wood, the black veneer looks good (see pictures). I measured the top of the white keys at 28 inches off the ground, which is the expected size for a piano, so this is not "toy" size and has a full 88 keys. The keys feel really good, the top of the black keys is slightly textured and not 100% smooth, which seems to be normal for Donner pianos, even though the keys of the piano I grew up with had the black keys as smooth as the white keys. Probably depends on the manufacturer. There are 2 headphone jacks, as I describe in the video, so you could have a teacher and a student both listen without disturbing those around them. The piano sounds pretty good and can be loud, I also connected it to an amplified speaker and it sounded gorgeous and very loud, so you can get the full range! There are connectors in the back, which is not always easiest for access, and even a USB computer connection but I don't know how to use it. I will likely send Donner an email to see how to use it, I'm hoping I can record my playing into a computer. All in all a really good purchase, a much better option for beginners that buying a full upright piano Sorry about the video quality, I'm better at music than video, hope it helps anyway ... show more

  • Very easy to operate.
This Donner DP 90 is lovely piano. It has no bells and whistles which I realize is exactly what I wanted. I am 77 years old and do not need to be confused by trying to figure out how to work all the extras. The cons I would give it are that the sustain pedal does not sustain the sound as well as it should, holding the sound after lifting fingers off the keys.. Also some of the notes on the higher register sound flat and rather tinny and one of upper keys stays down when played. It is also heavier to play that I am used to on my Yamaha acoustic piano. Other than that, the sound is nice enough. I will see how it is behaving before the return date, and if the few problems become irritating, I may consider returning it. This makes me sad because it is very difficult to find a digital piano with just on/off and volume which this piano has. Update March 9, 2024. Well, I said I would see if the little problems with my piano would begin to irritate me, and they did so I returned it. That was the biggest mistake of my life. I realize now that not having it is worse than living with the irritations that really I could have lived with.. The Donner DDP 90 is a great little piano, very simple to use, with no bells and whistles, just an on/off switch and volume switch. If you just want a basic piano, this is definitely the one to go for. I am so sad that I returned mine. I just want to say to all the people out there, think very hard and be very sure before you return anything, because once it is gone it is gone. Donner Direct is a good company and I'm sure if I had reached out to them about the problems with the piano they would have got back to me and worked with me to resolve the problems. That's what Donner do. Instead I didn't have enough patience and I just returned it. Oh well, it's my loss and I am very sad.. ... show more

  • The Goldilocks piano, it’s just right!
I absolutely love this piano, it is just enough for what I’m looking for. It doesn’t have all of those silly different voices or instruments on it, it’s just a piano. The keys are weighted and while they could be weighted a little more, it’s enough to where it is noticeable and it doesn’t feel like you’re playing on a keyboard. It gets very loud and very quiet and you CAN notice dynamics based on how hard you press on keys, which is a huge bonus. I will say assembly was confusing at first, I had to call them and ask for help. The manual said xyz screws were included but only some of them were in the pouches. The others were preinstalled in the wood, which I didn’t realize. Also, some of the holes didn’t line up with the back panel, so I couldn’t screw everything in. Luckily, the holes that did line up, were enough to put it together. I was able to put it together in under an hour once I figured everything out, but I’d recommend you put it together with two people due to the sheer weight of the piano. Despite assembly being confusing and at times dysfunctional, I’d still recommend this digital piano to anyone that is looking to buy a piano. It’s everything that you need, just enough. It has a cover that shuts slowly and quietly, the keys are weighted, it responds to the pressure of how hard and fast it is pressed, and the sound quality is great. Perfect for apartment living when you don’t want to bother your neighbors because you can just turn the volume down or plug in headphones. Also, customer service was very nice. Give this piano a go! ... show more

  • Great beginner piano
My daughter recently started taking piano lessons. We were looking for a weighted keyboard for her to have at home to practice on. I did get this one on sale, which is what originally caught my eye, and then after reading reviews was impressed with what others had to say. My daughter absolutely loves it and it’s very good quality so much so that my mom bought one for her house for my daughter to practice on. It looks like a nice piece of furniture. The keyboard top is soft clothes and the keys are nicely weighted. Quality is good. Sound quality is also good and the bench that I purchased to go with it also provide storage to keep all of her learning books. ... show more

  • Unreliable After One Year – Random Notes Ruin Every Song
This is the first time I’ve seen an electronic piano develop such a strange fault. While playing, a key suddenly produces a completely different note at a very high pitch. Sometimes it’s a single key, and sometimes it happens with combinations of two or three keys. It’s quite surprising that this started happening a little over a year after purchase. If it happened occasionally it might be tolerable, but now it happens in almost every song I try to play. At this point it feels like the only option is to throw the whole piano away. Or maybe just let visiting kids smash the keys as hard as they want and slowly watch it fade away. ... show more

  • Great piano for the money! Highly recommended!
We all know...Ya' get what you pay for. There are digital piano's out there that cost $2000 and up! I just received mine today. I'm very happy with this piano for the money and definitely recommend it for someone who just wants to learn or just wants to have some fun. It's actually more than I expected. Built very solid and good volume which was one of my main concerns. I got rid of my old beat up standard console piano about 10 years ago so I haven't played since then. I'm a little rusty to say the least. I am now retired and have more time on my hand so I'm going to dust off my fingers again and have some fun! If I don't lose interest and continue to play for a year or so, I may sell this one ( or give it to a family member) eventually and get one of those $2000 pianos. I'm sure the action is much better on a more expensive model. Again. Ya' get what you pay for. Or... maybe this one will get me through the rest of my years once I get a little more comfortable with it. By the way Assembly / Set up was super easy. Once I had everything unwrapped, it was about10 minutes all by myself. Enjoy! UPDATE.... Now that I have had this piano for several months, I am enjoying it more than I thought I would. The grace of my chord changes were not as smooth when I first starting playing it but they have actually become much better after some use. My fingers seemed to being "slightly" sticking to the keys at 1st but now they glide on and off noticeably better. Maybe because the natural oils of my fingers are on the keys now? Anyway, give it sometime before you judge it. I love this piano now and am having a lot of fun! ... show more
