Was time for an upgrade for the front of my house and these turned out perfect for a flush mounted surface. Two for my doorway and replaced the old flood lights by my garage. Just wanted to do something different so I turned them sideways and also since there was a very minor gap put a bead of clear silicone around them all to waterproof the wiring. I chose this light for its low profile. I mounted it next to the home entry door on the wall replacing the existing sconce light. The light provides a bright white light that easily illuminates the walkway to the door. Install was simple - attach mounting bracket to the junction box, attach 2 power wires with wirenuts, attach 1 ground wire, slide the base onto the mounting bracket, attach the cover - all hardware is included. The quality feels great with metal and glass - no plastic. It can also be mounded as a ceiling light. The instructions say it is not recommended in a wet location if wall mounted - water could get in behind the base since it isn't sealed. But it will be fine outside out of the rain - like on a covered porch. It has 20 LEDs - there is no bulb to replace therefore when it dies, you will be getting a new fixture. It does not have motion detection so that could be an issue for some as a porch light. ... show more

I didn’t actually understand that they were going to be fully self-contained. I imagined I’d be putting a lightbulb in them unfortunately the light is built into the unit and is quite unpleasant.
