  • very worth the money in my opinion, nice little tiller
Size: 80V 10"(2.0Ah)
Ok, i've had plenty of time to use this little tiller 1 it's idiot proof 2 it's idiot proof 3 it's freaking duurable 4 it will chew through turf 5 the batteries charge quickly 6 the batteries last for a fair amount of time 7 the tines are easy to clean (because you can remove them easily) 8 it's light wieght which can be an advantage for someone who is not all that strong. battery powered was my choice because gas motors and i do not get along. battery operated ? just charge & go. i recommend buying an extra battery to switch out if you intend to use the tiller for an extended time. ... show more

  • This thing's a Beast
Size: 80V 10"(2.0Ah)
We have roughly 25' x 25' area to till. My wife pre-tilled this area to loosen the soil. Then we added chicken manure pellets and for a solid 40 minutes or so I put this thing through it's paces. This thing is a beast. The battery had one blinking light left when I got done. I purchased 2 more spare Greenworks 80v batteries. Plus the one plus the charger included in the box, it got the job done. I really was skeptical of battery operated landscaping tools being a gas-tool fan for many years this thing really opened my eyes! I wanted to use the gas-operated cultivator to till-in the manure but it would not start. My wife thinks it got pissed off because we bought a new unit. Funny coincidence, after I got the manure tilled-in, the gas operated cultivator started.🤣😳 ... show more

  • Competes perfectly with Honda mini gas tiller
Size: 80V 10"(2.0Ah)
My Honda tiller gave-up-the-ghost, at the beginning of a big tilling project. After much wasted time trying to repair it; I finally bit the bullet and ordered this Greenworks cordless (battery-powered) model. I didn’t want to assemble the new Greenworks tiller, because it’s something new to learn (which for me is the bugle-call for procrastination). but I remembered a video review of someone who was reviewing the same model, and it looked easy; so I took a deep breath, and gathered the few included parts, and slid them on... and was done in minutes. I did not assemble the wheels to the tiller, because I didn’t want them interfering with getting a good, deep, grip on the soil to be tilled. Perhaps it wouldn’t have made any difference; but that was my mindset. For you, remember that IF YOU DON’T INSTALL THE WHEELS, then the tiller will not stand upright when not in use... and also you will have to carry the tiller, and it’s full weight, when transporting the tiller across the yard, or driveway, or wherever you’re going (and it is a very awkward, cumbersome, tool to carry). Nevertheless, because I’m plenty strong, I still always chose to lift, and carry, it. Upon activating the tiller, with the handlebar controls, the tines began slowly turning... and then sped up considerably moments later. After time, I realized that this was normal. Furthermore, it became apparent that this tiller’s tines are geared to turn slower than you would expect, at all times. I also remembered that another reviewer had said that this tiller has a slow standard tine speed; and from my perspective, it matters not. I found the power, and ability to till the soil was remarkably good. It performed as well as my gas powered mini tiller, which is all I could hope for. I really enjoyed pressing a button, pulling a lever, and then having uninterrupted tilling until the battery ran out of juice. Then 35 minutes later, after charging the battery, I was back in business. I really didn’t mind waiting for the battery to charge, as it gave me time to rest. For me, pulling the tiller backwards, while letting it dig-in, gave the best results... as it has with all tillers I’ve ever used, big and small. The area I needed to till was a former lawn area consisting of clay soil which had been dug-up, and then filled back in, and tamped down with a backhoe. There were lots of rocks. This little battery powered tiller had no problem digging through the hardened soil, and also no problem dislodging rocks as big as my fist. I tilled 1500 square feet of the aforementioned soil (an area about 12 ft. X 120 ft.). I considered this tool to be flawless during the many weeks I spent using it for hours each day. At some point, I opened-up the box to a Greenworks 80 Volt chainsaw, which I’d yet to try. This was so that I could harvest the included 2 AmpHour lithium battery... which allowed me to have 2 identical batteries to allow me to continue tilling, while the other battery was charging. This was great, but an unexpected downside was that one of my fingers (left hand ring-finger) went numb from all of the continuous tilling... and has slowly been recovering for a month; so do yourself a favor and wear gloves to cut down on the subtle vibrations going to your hands. I have a soft spot for tools, and appliances, which do exactly what they’re supposed to do, and this 80-volt Greenworks tiller is in that category. I have no complaints, and nothing bad to say about it. It solved my problem (of needing a reliable and tiller) completely... and it is 100% functional for it’s intended purpose. I give it Two thumbs Up! ... show more

Size: 80V 10"(2.0Ah)
Don’t do it. A two week nightmare between Amazon and Asurion. Did NOT work out of the box. Appears to be a battery/charger issue, but who knows. Immediately called Amazon. Was assured a replacement would be delivered as soon as possible. Waited almost a week with no word. Called Amazon only to be told the initial representative lied and there was no action taken to resolve the problem. Wait. What? The second representative again says no worries. A replacement will be sent out since the Asurion plan was purchased. Needless to say I had to speak over her to get Amazon to acknowledge the plan. Now after filing a claim with Asurion, they tell me I have to go back to Amazon. As my strawberry plants rot in their starter pots. Disabled buyer here who did extensive research and opted for the Greenworks 80v cordless cultivator due to the appearance of ease of assembly and use with its push button starter. Steer clear, folks. The hassle is definitely not worth it. ... show more

This machine rips. I have had 2 mantis rotor tillers, with one being rebuilt. Done messing with gas and oil. Have small gardens and this works just fine.these little machines are not meant to rip deep, nor harden ground, however,it will rip 4, 5 inches deep on old garden. Battery life is about 40 minutes. Heck, ya need a break after that anyway. Glad I have this. No more pulling rope to start. ... show more
