Bought this in 2019, still going strong, use it every week. The light weight makes it easy to handle.

  • Quiet, light, and it cuts
Size: 17" Mower (4.0Ah)
Love it! I replaced my lawn guy and decided to do it myself. This mower made it all easy. I have no complaints about the ease of charging up a battery and going to it. Startup is super simple, height adjustment is even easier. So to note, if you're doing a deep cut of some high grass, you're going to find that it bogs down if you set too low. That said, I didn't have any major issues with the first scalp so its enough to handle the job. The first scalp did require the small bin to be emptied often. My yard is a shade under 4000 sq ft and I emptied about 6 times. YMMV. Also be sure to snap in the mulch plug properly if you're not bagging or it'll fill up really quick. Even with it in place it'll fill up but just snap it in correctly. Easy to do. No big deal. Also the 4.0Ah battery is barely enough to handle that size of a yard for a single cut. It's a good idea to have one or two extras to take up the gap and if you are using the same 40v system to edge and blow as well you'll need them anyway. Personally I like to double cut and usually need a battery and a half (I have three batteries) to get through it all. The charger and battery are both easy to use and the level indicator on the battery is helpful. I've got a bermuda lawn and this doesn't get quite low enough but once I've got the lawn established and the height managed I'd switch to a reel mower and use this to clean up if I've been away from the yard for too long. The bed is small enough where if you have bumps in the ground you can easily scalp small sections of your lawn so be aware. Also the mower is very light which makes it very easy to handle, manueuver, back up, travel over roots, etc., but it also means the mower does want to bounce a little especially if you're blasting through quickly. I'd say that's a good excuse though to level that lawn. All in all, I recommend it if you're wanting to save some money and do a little work with some chore-ing. Once you have your height managed it makes nice even cuts (FYI no stripes, sorry). PROS - Easy to use and adjust - Lightweight - Has been reliable - Almost no maintenance required CONS - Not always powerful enough - Plan on an extra battery or two In hindsight I might have ponied up some more for the 80v (significantly more) but I'm still happy with my purchase and really have no reason to knock off any stars. The way I see it, if you have a small yard like mine and just want to take care of tidying up your lawn, this will do the trick. ... show more

  • Solid Choice for a lightweight electric mower for Small/Medium yards
Size: 17" Mower (4.0Ah)
Its a great electric mower, battery lasted me about halfway through the front yard and got all the way through the backyard on a charge. Considerably lighter than a gas mower and was easy to set up and get working. Battery does not come charged but charges in about 3 hours.

  • I love yard work and having a good landscape for everyone ...
Size: 17" Mower (4.0Ah)
I love yard work and having a good landscape for everyone to look at as they pass by my house. When I first moved into my house about 5 years ago I purchased a "fixed" used lawnmower for $100.00 (Craftsman 550 series). It worked well and got the job done so I had no complaints. The lawnmower died on me within the past 2 months so I was in the market for a new one (I was happy with the life I got on the previous mower). My mother has osteoarthritis in her shoulders and though mowing the lawn causes no problems, the pull cord to start poses some issues. We have both been researching numerous brands and stores for an electric mowers (cordless) with an electric start feature. I decided to go on an impulse and purchase this product because it was on sale.... I had buyers remorse from the moment I purchased it. I was not familiar with the brand name, reviews were limited, and I was a little skeptical about how well this lawn mower does the job... being that I've used gas operated lawn mowers my whole life. I received my lawn mower within a day or two. Since my Craftsman decided to die on me and continued to flatline after I replaced the spark plug and all the other things I could think of to get it running, my yard still needed a last mow from the previous season. I happened to receive it on a nice day early in the morning so I immediately started charging the battery. I was pleasantly surprised that it only took a few hours for the battery to charge and the "assembly" of the mower itself was simple as can be, you need to adjust the ratio distance of the lawnmower to grass being cut (which is an EFFORTLESS press of a button and light amount of pressure to adjust how short or tall you want the grass on your lawn), attaching the handle to the lawnmower itself (which is effortless), and simply getting it to the place you need it to be (I assembled it in my home and carried it outside and down steps with no issues or struggle). I started this little sucker up without a hiccup. Immediately it began to run and was silent as can be to any other lawn mower I have used in my life. I take long strides and am a fast walker naturally so when I went at my normal "fast pace" compared to others this lawn mower didn't choke or skip a beat when it ran through the tall patches of grass or the speed I was moving it (my craftsman mower would get choked up and putter if I hit to much long grass at one time or didn't give it time to.......................slowly.......................... take care of patches of thicker crabgrass or weeds). I plowed right through anything in my way and it didn't stop a beat. The battery lasted without any difficulties in my back yard which is probably 30ft X 40ft and my from yard that is 30ft X 20ft. I could not be more pleased by this purchase!!!!! This product works better and more efficient than my old one even though the radius of the blade and lawn mower itself is smaller, this sucker has more power than my craftsman to get through the "thick" stuff without chocking on it at my speed. My mother turned this product on without any effort even with medical issues that limit what she can do with a "normal" lawnmower. I would HIGHLY recommend this product!!!! I received my extended warranty (the protection plan that I purchased) minutes after my purchase of this product. Give this little thing a chance like I did, you won't be disappointed! ... show more
