  • Quality of materials
Style: 2.0Ah+5PCS Drill Bits Size: Brushless 530 in./lbs Hammer Drill
My uncle got an experience with this brand Greenworks. He is constructed a wooden house, used 2 simillar screwdrivers. So, i knew a bit about the good quality and well made tools if the brand, before to order it for me. I bought 530lbs 24v screwdriver with a single 2Ah battery for 70$. As an electrician, i can say, that the charger, that provide 24v/2A, should normally get higher voltage, to keep batteries to live long. Each battery of this screwdriver contains 6x Li-ion 18650-type cells. Every fully charged cell got voltage 4.2v*6=25,2v (discharged: 3,7v*6=20,4v). A simple mathematics says, that the current charger (24v/2A) phisically cannot charge the battery normally due to insufficient voltage rating. The charger should have around 26v-28v (1-2A) to maintain battery's good live cycle for a years and years. All of that have to explain to a customers the marketing point of the company: "your battery will die in about of half year, or something, because we want to sell batteries to you again and again, 70$ for each 4A battery, or a so. That's why we prefer to put incorrect power rating chargers, that slowely kills your batteries, because we're smart, but you don't". Well, to be honest, it's not a first and not a last manufacturer company, whose making money with such solutions. Enough intro-of-the-truth here. The tool is actually well made, as i said before. It solid, thickness. Made with good-to-touch materials. When you holding it in the hand you can feel, that the device will stay with you and keep working for a long time. Plastic mixed with rubber making you feel so. Brushless engine technology promise to you to serve good and for a long. I believe it's not a weak point. A thing i really noticed - is a good quality LED: it's much lighter, than everything I've seen integrated to the srewdrivers before. The rest things of the device good quality made, as it should be. 530lbs is enough power for most home tasks. 800/1260 - if you're working on a woodworks constructions. If you'd like a tool to stay for a long, keep an eye on the temperature of the body (on an engine section). If it heated to the temperature, when you can't hold a hand on it (exactly at engine's area) - give it a break to cool it down normally. Don't put it into the freezer to drop a heat instantly!) - 99% chance, that it'll damage your device, or a freezer :\ I wish everyone to finish their construction tasks with this tool, or without ;) Farewell. P.S. Few days ago, I've ordered an angle grinder from the same company with 4A battery and another type of charger. Gonna see the characteristics of the charger in future. Might be, it has those normal 26-28v? ... show more

  • I'm Really Happy With This - I'm a Fan of Greenworks
Style: 4.0Ah(USB Battery) Size: Brushless 1240 in./lbs Hammer Drill
This is not my first Greenworks product. I have been using their electric corded lawn mower and weed wacker for years now. The first drill I received was defective and shut off after only a tiny bit of use. The replacement has been heavily tested. This is a feature-rich drill that does nearly everything. Just to get it out of the way, the only thing I couldn't do with it was drive a 3" deck screw through two 2x4's without predrilling. I built some shelving in my workshop during the testing period and managed to find the threshold. Other than this one task, this drill did everything I threw at it and I didn't even drain the battery enough to accurately critique it. I was going to write about a bunch of the things this drill does but the ad page does an adequate job. Instead I'll discuss some of the other things. The batteries have a nice gauge on them to see the charge before starting a job. There is a little button that lights up some LED's showing how much juice I have. This drill is a lot lighter than my serious corded drill. The motor is smaller and I didn't know what to expect. This worked perfectly for drilling holes in metal and wood. I sunk screws into predrilled holes without issue. The chuck doesn't require a key making bit changing super easy. This is my new favorite drill for simple housework. This will never replace my corded drill for large projects but since 75% of my projects are just a few holes, often in awkward places, this is my new go to. I love the ratcheting power control so I don't strip drywall holes when hanging things. I'm a fan of how many features the drill has. I will never use the carry bag. I've kept the handle on the pegboard in case I may need it in the future though anything serious enough that it might have kickback I'd probably use my other drill. I can't vouch for the hammering feature for masonry drilling since I didn't drill anything like that this month. I'm happy to have the option, though. ... show more

  • Well built and very durable
Style: 2.0Ah+5PCS Drill Bits Size: Brushless 530 in./lbs Hammer Drill
I needed a hammer drill to anchor some posts into concrete. I was looking for something cordless and fairly inexpensive. I came across the Greenworks 24v hammer drill. It had great reviews and the company seemed solid so I purchased it. I had no problems drilling all the holes into the concrete. It never struggled and it had plenty of battery power left after I used it. I use dewalt and Milwaukee at work and I can say the power and feel are fairly similar. If you want something for around the house at a great price for the power and build this is a must buy. ... show more
