Overall I like this Slow Cooker. Some pluses are the handles on the insert. They allow you to pick it up easily without hot pads. The hooks to wrap the cord on the back are handy. It has a slightly bigger footprint than my old Kitchenaid slow cooker, so check the measurements if space is limited. As others have said the stainless plate with cooking temp and time is a bit hard to read. I have to bend down to counter level and look at it from the same level. It's probably not as intuitive as my old cooker, but it wasn't hard to figure out. Probably my main complaint is the stainless rim that goes around the top edge of the base. Because it sticks out it's easy to drop a bit of soup or sauce on this when removing food from the cooking chamber. But these things are small issues and it cooks really well and is a generous 6qt.

I LOVE this upgrade! This crock pot sears in the pan which eliminates me having to use my cast iron skillet to sear meat before cooking, so I really love my new Green Pan crock pot. The blue color is great in my updated kitchen and I like the ease of cleaning, and the use factor. The controls are a bit harder to read, but that is a minor annoyance. Absolutely recommend buying this one, easy to clean due to the surface.

I’m in my 60s, so I’ve owned my share of slow cookers—mostly the ubiquitous OG Crock Pot brand. They did the job, but essentially required searing & prepping separately before placing contents into the appliance. Often I felt the food was mostly steamed and kind of insipid looking upon removal, unless it was a soup dish. Additionally, I never cared much for the look of them. I’ve been watching and following for a while now the new, more versatile entries into the market. I’ve especially been waiting for a ceramic non-stick surface slow cooker with good reviews. Another selling point is that this is a beautiful appliance that fits in well with a modern, contemporary kitchen. It was also quite important to me that this slow cooker has a sear feature, which means I no longer need to perform that function in a separate skillet that I then need to wash. I like that it has a “steam” function if I choose to do so. The negatives: As others have mentioned, it doesn’t have a good lid seal, which any slow cooker really should have. I’ve not found that it has had a deal breaker effect, but if Green Pan is paying attention, they truly should upgrade this. It does have a lid rest on the rear, so that was an acceptable tradeoff in my tiny kitchen, although that shouldn’t need to be the choice. As others have mentioned, the control labels on the front “disappear” on the shiny chrome controls plate, especially in bright lighting, and are 100% impossible to see/read. Still not a deal breaker for me, though, but it would behoove Green Pan to address this. For solely this reason I’m subtracting 1 ⭐️

We bought this slow cooker specifically because it's chemically the least toxic nonstick, all in one, lightweight cook available. The unit is quite large and takes a lot of space for storage. It is attractive in appearance. Sold & shipped by Amazon usually has a return period of several months but I fell ill for a few weeks & by the time I was able to use the slow cooker for the first time the 30 day return period had expired. Please note the lid does not have a silicone gasket to keep steam inside the pot and produce a quality cooking experience. Neither does the lid have a design that will seat it into the pot for the creation of a water vapor barrier. A lot of steam escapes on sautee/brown simmer setting thereby reducing the quantity of liquid in the pot. The non sealing lid reduces the cooking temperature of the pot & contents even on high slow cook setting and will take hours longer to cook. Even on a slow cook high setting the liquid does not simmer and thus it takes hours longer to cook meat til tender. The only way to get the liquid to simmer is to put the unit on brown/saute which is equal to boiling and is too hot for the desired slow cooking. It is not at all like the old fashioned stoneware cookers where you could throw the food in and go to work for 8 to 10 hours. Knowing the problem with this cooker is the fact the lid has no gasket to create a seal and hold in the heat and liquid, I contacted the manufacturer to inquire of a lid with a gasket. After hours back and forth in email I learned the company does not make a lid with a gasket. This is a design flaw that could easily be overcome with the addition of a gasket on the lid. Not a well thought out design. The price is ridiculous for the performance of the unit. For $40 you can get a large 6 qt. oval stoneware slow cooker that will perform wonderfully. It will also have a locking lid and a zippered pouch so you can carry your food.
