  • Beautiful cookware set, but ceramic pans aren't forever and need good care
I've been using this set for about 8 months now, and when I say it gets used, I mean used. I cook all of our family meals, so these pots and pans are on the stove multiple times a day. This is actually my third GreenLife ceramic cookware set over the years, and at this point I don't really want to cook with anything else. The pans and pots are lightweight, the frying pans have a nice sturdy base, the lids feel solid, and I love the silicone handles. I got the "cream" color this time and it's honestly beautiful! Cooking is a chore for me, but at least my cookware makes me happy)) So, after 8 months of heavy use, my most-used frying pan is starting to lose some of its nonstick performance, but honestly, I expected that. In my experience, ceramic cookware just doesn't last forever, especially if you cook a lot. That said, this set has held up well because I try to take good care of it. I hand wash the pots and pans, only put the lids in the dishwasher, and NEVER use hard utensils, only silicone. Ceramic coating is great, but it is pretty delicate. At this point, I've accepted that replacing the most-used pans every year or so is just part of having ceramic cookware. For me, the non-toxic coating and cooking experience are worth it. One thing I can't comment on is the "oven safe" claim in the set description. I've never put them in the oven, it just doesn't feel right to me, not sure I can explain why... If that's important to you, I'd check some other reviews. Overall, if you understand the tradeoff that ceramic cookware requires a little care and eventually wears out, this is a really nice set that looks great and performs well. ... show more

  • The elephant in the room
Let’s address the elephant in the room. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS THAT SAID, “my pan handles got burned” BECAUSE THEY CLEARLY DIDN'T FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! My sister bought this set and when I used them I was impressed and put them in my save later cart. My roommate is traveling with work and bought this set for the place they’ll be staying at for the next two years. They loved the set so much that we bought one for the house. First off, NO HIGH HEAT is required. Zero! I guess unless frying and then maybe handles could get burned but we don’t fry food. The weight of them are perfectly balanced and I love that my food isn’t getting burned in one spot. I have a wonky burner and in my previous pans I’d need to rotate and move the pan so it’d evenly cook. Not these babies and they stack nicely. My food, on that same burner, comes out evenly cooked and I didn’t have to turn the pan. Yay! First off, the pans get heated up on low BEFORE adding food, then add the food and turn the heat up a bit, not too high, the pans don’t need high heat to cook beautifully. We don’t have a microwave and reheat our food in a pan and these work perfect! I turn them on and can focus on other things without stressing the foods burning or cooking fast. Everything comes out clean af! Even the bottom of the pans wipe clean! The Dutch pan is a tad smaller than my previous set but that’s okay, I kept that pan in case it’s needed. My pans were chipped in the middle and I figured out how that kept happening, when we don’t use metal to cook, and discovered that when the pans go into the sink, they’d get hit and scratched. These stay on the stove till washing time. I love the clean look of these pans and that they stay clean! I waited to purchase till they went on sale and got a good price! Totally worth it! ... show more

  • Good Price, Not Good for Heavy Use
So I've had this set for a little over 8 months and overall this is a good set of pans for the price. They'ce held up, but I have a few things critiques and words or warning. I have used these pans on an electric stove use these pans at least 3-4x a day, and use wooden/plastic utensils 1. They keep their non-stick okay, but have lost quite a bit or their non stick properties over time, using oil is needed right now. 2. They claim to be dishwasher safe, I put them in and they did get scratched some, again highly recommend the pans are hand washed only. 3. The handles have gotten loose over time The positives: 1.Their non stick coating is really good, I just use the pans too much so there is quite a bit of wear and tear. 2. Easy to clean, for stuck on messes I use dishsoap and baking soda and the mess comes off really easily. 3. The price is really good and if you don't use the pans 3-4x a day regularly, the would last you quite a while. Mine are still good, but are showing wear and tear. Overall: This is a really good set of pans, that are great for people who aren't cooking everyday, are looking to get away from pfas and toxic non-stick coating. If you are someone who cooks a lot though, I'd try and find a set that is a little better quality, as this set will last, but it's not the absolute best. ... show more

  • Excellent cookware and safe for parrots
Very sturdy, beautiful appearance works very well lightweight but one thing I noticed is that everything seems a little bit smaller than the last set of pants the same kind I bought previously and I lights the ones I bought previously very much and I’m gonna like these very much too because they are a little bit smaller, but they’ll fit in my RV very nicely. ... show more

  • Great pans
I flipping love them! I’ve had them for a year now and they are excellent pans. If I’m cooking meat,I add a little oil and they do not stick at all. Easy to clean. I thought about buying a more expensive brand, but I’m glad I didn’t

  • Cute and lightweight
I'm an avid cooker, meaning that 2-3 of my spouse and I's meals are cooked from scratch (or mostly scratch) every day. I use, at the very least, one of these pots or pans every single day, and usually multiple times a day. They get regular use. I have had these pans for about a month at the date of this review being submitted. (9/7/22) So, I got these pans because they were cute and fairly affordable, but also because I was scraping by with a several year old introductory $20 set of pots and pans from Wal-Mart. When they arrived, I had a few worries, namely the lack of holes in the lids, that the lid handles would burn me and that they would be easy to scratch. So far, the lack of lid ventilation has not been an issue at all, and the handles on the lids have never gotten too hot to touch. I use ALMOST exclusively silicone, wooden or soft plastic utensils... But I did mash potatoes INSIDE of the pan with a metal masher one night and received, in exchange, two tiny chipped spots inside of one of the pots. None of the other pieces have had any issues because of the type of utensils I use, and the soft scrubbing brush I use for washing all of my cookware to avoid scratches. Kind of feeling like this was my own fault rather than the fault of the product, since mama raised me to never put metal in a pot that isn't cast iron or uncoated stainless steel. I'm sorry mama. I won't do it again. After checking the reviews and having some time with the pans, I also started to grow afraid of staining or things burning into the bottoms. So far not an issue at all, either. If you keep your burners fairly clean and food-free, the bottom burning is typically not an issue and even if it does happen you're usually able to scrub it right off. After making crushed tomatoes from fresh tomatoes I did have a struggle with getting the red coloring off, but after a little bit of elbow grease it was taken care of. So far, none of my initial worries about this set have been issues at all, and I haven't had any outside problems either. Follow the instructions, wash and store with care, and I think they'll last several years without incident. ... show more

  • Super non stick!!!
The good: these pots and pans ARE non stick. For instance: I made gravy last night and when I allowed the pot to cool (NEVER wash immediately after using or you'll ruin the cookware) then transferred gravy to another container, and as I rinsed the pot I thought 'there's no way this is gonna come off without getting my hands wet.' Well, it proved me wrong and rolled up off the edge and poured out. Incredible! The colour is fantastic (I chose the black and white) and looks just like the picture. So there should be no error in the colour compared to the computer screen. You do not need to add much oil (if ANY) to cook. I was worried, since I noticed that the spices I used were seeming to stick to the bottom of the pan, but NOPE! Wiped right out, as if to say, 'Is that all you got? I thought this was gonna be a challenge'. You do not need to use very high heat either. Only thing I use high heat for is to boil water. I like that you are supposed to heat the pan FIRST before adding the food. Other ceramic pans I've had specifically stated, very vehemently, to NOT heat them without adding food first. These pans make it known as per the instructions that you SHOULD. The steamer basket is awesome and was the main selling point for me right from the rip. It sits perfectly on the larger of the two sauce pans and the basket is plenty large for enough veggies for two people. There are enough lids for everything you need, save the tiny egg pan and while each and every pot does not come with a lid, they are universal. The handles are NOT riveted, but seemingly moulded as one piece, which IS nice when it comes to not having anything come loose, because, let's be honest: who (besides my ex - husband) has a rivet gun on hand? The bad: this set IS smaller than I was expecting. The little tiny egg pan is just that: a little tiny egg pan. Granted, it can be used for a variety of small items just as sauteing some peppers and onions. The sauce pots are a bit TOO small for my liking and my usage, as when I make Alfredo sauce, I get aggressive and it spills over the side a bit. I do have two other larger pans, so no biggie really. I can still use these for other sides (like the gravy). The largest, deeper pan is not as deep as I would like or expected. It does the job for which it is intended, however, so it will suit my purposes fine. The lids do not have a hole for steam to escape, which makes sense when using the steamer basket, but not when using any of the other pots and pans. All in all, I am happy with my purchase and it was a smart investment. I've only had this set for about a month, but I cook A LOT so we'll see how they hold up. So far, so good!!! ... show more
