Heats my central Minnesota greenhouses easily. I have two hoop houses. One is 10’ wide, 12 feet long and 7’ tall at the peak. My new one is 10’ wide, 16’ long and 9’ tall. I bought the first one for the smaller greenhouse this spring. I only use it to keep the minimum temperature at 50 degrees. We had lows of 28 degrees outdoors and the heater worked easily to maintain 50. While not in love with the “meat thermometer” temperature heat sensor I have to say it works great. I liked it so much I bought a second unit for my new hoop house (pictured) and it worked great a few days ago at 34 degrees for a morning low.

Pitted against 20 degree weather, this thing keeps a very big garage in the 50s. No small feat. Runs like a champ, good controller, although it gets a lil finicky sometimes. Worthy investment.

I really thought this would be a high powered heater, but I am not sure how it is using 1500W as it is slow to heat. The digital thermostat seems like an after thought, but does do the job of turning off the heater when the ambient temperature hits the mark. Using this on a small, enclosed area would probably work well, but don't expect this to heat anything of substance.

This “Greenhouse Heater” combines a well-made electric heater that has a built-in thermostat and on-off switch with a digital temperature sensor and thermostat. In operation, the heater is turned on with the off-fan only-heat and fan switch. You then turn the built-in thermostat on the heater all the way clockwise so it will be on when power is provided to the plug. You can use the heater this way and adjust the built-in thermostat so it cuts off at some point and restarts as it cools down. This thermostat is not calibrated. However, also included in the package is a plug-in digital thermostat with a temperature sensing probe on the end of a wire (not clearly shown in the pictures). This digital thermostat is prominently labeled as a “Heat Mat” thermostat and the instructions say it is for controlling a “plant or pet heat mat”. I’m not exactly sure where they intend us to put the probe with a plant heat mat and I would not advise using it with a pet heat mat because it could easily be unplugged or chewed on. Anyhow, despite the name on the thermostat, the combination does work very well. I put the heater on the floor in my workshop and mounted the thermostat controller on the wall. I put the temperature measuring probe up higher up near the ceiling and it seems to work well in that configuration. The heating element does not get red hot lowering the risk of fire. The fan is reasonably quiet for a workshop or garage but I would think it too loud for a sleeping room. The fan has only a single speed. The styling is industrial so it is not intended for use in a living room. It would also work well as a supplemental heater for a small sunroom in the winter or in a garage to keep the chill off. The thermostat shows the temperature measured at the probe. It can be turned off or unplugged and will maintain the temperature set point it had when power is restored.

Had to return. The thermostat switch was missing only received the heater. We where going to keep it anyways but when we ran it was just to weak for our greenhouse. Hopefully others have better luck but the one we received must of had issues with the low heat and missing parts. Returned through Amazon with no hassle.

I recently picked up this greenhouse heater, and it’s been a great addition to my setup. It quickly warms up the garage. The thermostat is easy to use and gives me flexibility to adjust the temperature. The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy when in fan & heater mode, but overall, it’s been reliable and effective for keeping the space comfortable.

Greenhouse Heater with Digital Thermostat arrived nicely packaged and without damage or need for touch-up. The instructions are easy to follow and the heater and thermostat can be setup quickly. I set the thermostat to the lowest setting (clockwise on the dial) and then adjusted it as needed. I am now able to efficiently work in a warm garage late into the cold evening. I don't mind the sound of the fan, as it is providing me with much needed warmth! I can move it around the shop and have instant warm air where I need it. I am very satisfied with this heater!!
