My daughter is 8 years old with a rare neurological condition. She can pull a spoon to her mouth to eat but opens her hand and drops it once it enters her mouth. When she uses this product once her hand opens, she closes it back up. I think it reminds her that she still has something in her hand. My son is missing fingers on one of his hands. In order to jump rope we would tie the rope around his wrist - now we use this and he is able to secure the handle to his hand/wrist and jump with the rope as intended. Works great!
