Description

The right kind of bed base doesn’t need to be bulky or expensive. Sometimes, all you need is a simple layer of support between your mattress and bed frame. One that doesn’t raise you up too high, or make setup harder than it has to be. These wooden bed slats are designed for just that. Built in the USA by skilled Amish craftsmen, they offer lightweight, no-frills support for standard mattress sizes. The natural wood slats flex slightly under pressure – providing a more comfortable feel than rigid metal or particleboard frames. Plus, these slats won’t trap heat or moisture beneath your mattress. The spacing between them allows air to flow more freely, helping your mattress stay cooler and also drier over time to boost lifespan. With no extra height added – they’re perfect platform beds, bunk beds, or tall hybrid mattresses. • Fits the Bill!
Size: Queen Style: Heavy Duty Slat Pattern Name: New Version
We needed to get slats with less space between them the horizontal ones on our bed frame in order to satisfy the warranty requirements on our new mattress. This absolutely fits the bill. A bit of a struggle getting the long box up the stairs and carefully opening it so as not to rip the cloth straps that hold the wood slats together, but this is a good quality item that fits the bill and is definitely easier and less expensive than our first plan of getting wood cut at Home Depot to the right size/length. It's great that this company offers the slats in both vertical and horizontal mode so you can get what you need. I can't speak to how well the slats will work on a frame that doesn't already have them the way ours does, but they certainly seem sturdy enough (despite being low profile) to do the job, and they offer far more air circulation for a mattress than a bunkie board. ... show more

  • It's a shame a tree was sacrificed
Size: Twin Style: Standard Slat Pattern Name: New Version
The wood has lots of knots and splits. Wear gloves to avoid cuts and splinters. It may puncture or tear your mattress. The fabric that binds the slats together is red and white, not black as shown in product photos. The staples that affix the fabric to the wood are haphazardly installed, so the fabric is loose or unattached in parts and likely will tear off when underbed storage is used, rendering the product useless. The slats also slide all over the place, so should be zip tied to the frame if you are going to use it. Overall this product seems badly designed, badly produced, and does not seem safe or durable. ... show more

  • Beautiful and sturdy, just what I needed!
Size: Queen Style: Standard Slat Pattern Name: New Version
I bought this vertical wood headboard for my guest room and I’m honestly very happy with the overall quality. The beige tone is soft and neutral, which matches beautifully with different bedding styles. It feels solid and well-made — not cheap at all. Assembly was pretty straightforward, although it did take me a bit longer than expected (about 45 minutes on my own). I do wish it had included clearer instructions or labeled parts, but once it was up, it looked amazing. ... show more

  • Great Solution for Reinforcing a Bed!
I ordered these just to give more support to my bed frame, box spring and mattress. The reviews were so mixed, I ordered them, but with great trepidation. They arrived yesterday and today was the day to dismantle the bed and set these in the frame. First, the bad news: although I ordered a standard full size, they were about an inch too long. Even the box advised 54 1/2 wide. So I got out the skil saw and began cutting them down. Here's the good news: because they were a little too long and I did the cut myself, I was able to get the length so they fit very snugly into the frame. In fact, I had to use a mallet to get them flush into the frame. I could see this was a large benefit as they did not slip around in the frame as I put the mattresses back on nor will they slip in the frame during usual bed use. Originally, I had planned to get a completely different style of platform bed and get rid of the metal frame, but could not find one full bed style I liked. So, I gave up and bought these slats to give me a little more support. So far, so good! ... show more

  • Warped slats, more space between slats than described
The spaces between slats measure 3.5 inches rather than 2.5 as listed in the product description. The wood and fabric are strong and have no odor other than the pine smell from the wood, however a few of the slats are warped. I will be returning this item and have been assured by Amazon customer service that I will not be charged for the return shipping. ... show more

  • It works
I'm not really sure what to write. I mean, it's a review for bed slats. How much can a person write about bed slats? It works like it should. I put a memory foam mattress on top of the slats on a twin size bed frame. It is holding up fine. I will point out that the slats go vertically and not horizontally. I don't think this effects anything, but some people might not want vertical slats. The item arrived quickly and was boxed accordion-style. The slats are held together with a type of material/facing. U just spread the slats out and lay them down. Very simple to use. Edited to add: the slats don't always seem to want to stay in place. They want to bunch together on one side of the frame. Every time I change the sheets, I have to space the slats out again. Not a big deal, but if you're a picky person (which I am not), it may annoy u. ... show more
