We like remote control shutters and shades, especially in awkward locations like where you have to climb over a tub to get to them. We got a quote from a local window shade retailer and decided we would have to live with manual shades or sell a kidney... until I saw the Graywind shades on Amazon. I was skeptical, but thought I would give it a try. Their measure and ordering system was easy to follow and their customer service quickly emailed me back when I had a question about clearances. After I ordered my 2 shades, they sent me a confirmation dimension diagram and even asked if I was sure about one of my measurements (I had entered it wrong). Considering they had to be custom made, they came very quickly. The quality was good (not only the shade, but the valance and bottom bar) and everything fit perfectly. The physical installation was easy, though I did struggle a bit with programing the shades top and bottom adjustment (I'm pretty sure I made a procedural misstep somewhere and had to reset and start over). Customer service was great throughout the process and allowed me to return my second remote when I discovered that 1 remote can control both shades with the single button. Perfect blinds that fit as per our measurements they have a remote and they are pretty quiet. The work great and look good. They can be synchronized together on one remote if you want both sets of blinds to up together.

Frustrating process trying to get the blinds to work with having to buy extra stuff (Alexa echo show, a hub…). The videos and manuals provided on how to install the blinds and get them to connect to wifi are very unclear. Besides that, once you finally do get it working, the product itself is really nice and customer service has been super helpful throughout the process and extremely responsive. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Rare is the day when I am not perturbed with needless complication and the thought that some software designer or lawyer has had far too much influence in a product's design. (If your explanation of how to fix a problem starts with, "You just have to..." it should be redesigned - and we're sliding on this, just pick up your phone.) The shades are well made, with attention to detail. Then the instructions were actually clear! Well done. Ordering more. One note for the company: Please spend an extra penny or two and supply hardened screws. This plague of soft screw heads that shred upon installation detracts from an otherwise pleasurable product experience. ... show more

Awesome patio door blinds, first, the blinds were extremely well packed with cushions and metal reinforcement. Install was easy and love the look. Not to mention, saved alot of money compared to local home improvement stores. Comes with a 2 yr warranty, so hopefully they last. Ok, for the amount of money I was gonna spend on this, I was really hoping it would turn out well. Because it’s customized, you can’t return it (or I don’t think you can), so I was really worried. The customer service was great and making sure my customizations were correct. There is a bit of a misrepresentation of the type of motor to get. There’s apparently more than what’s listed, so the customer service folks were great at messaging back n forth on what I needed. Unboxing was a breeze. The “instructions” for installation leave a lot to be desired, but there’s really not much to instruct. You mount the clips, then insert the screen. Easy peasy. The remote works GREAT! We got the rechargeable motor so there are no cords (this is the best part bc apparently the one I originally chose would be plugged in, and ew, no. Thanks Amy!) The color of the “beige” one that looks woven, definitely gives that natural woven look without actually being a woven material. It’s a beautiful boho vibe if that’s what you’re looking for. But it’s also a very versatile color and design. You could mount this in virtually any room with any design and it would go great! Honestly, I can’t say enough about this shade. Love love love!     • Issues with connection to wifi but excellent customer service

1/8/23, 2nd update: The seller worked with me to update the motor to a zigbee which is supposed to work better. I’m still awaiting the motor and will need to install it. Also have to purchase a different Alexa model than I currently have. Hopefully it will work. I’m happy with the customer support/service but do wish the blind would work as easily as other wifi enabled products that i have in my home. 1st Update. After many messages back and forth with the company, I am not happy with the BLE Motor/hub. You have to have the hub very close to the blind for it to work. What’s the point of that? I thought that I could have it within the stated range but even 10 ft away it disconnects. The hub has to sit in the window sill for it to work. There’s no way to connect other blinds to it. It is really useless. Original post after 1 week: Love the blind now but not at first. I don’t like how it attaches - doesn’t seem very secure. Actually fell off while attempting to center the blind. Seems secure though now since I don’t have to mess with it. The biggest problem that I had was adding the blind to the BLE Hub. Ended up unpairing remote and got frustrated with the process. Tried to contact customer service via email and what’s app. Didn’t get response on what’s app but did on email. Seems that the customer service is located in China. They only responded in the middle of the night. They did finally help me though although the video they sent wasn’t what really worked. I had connected the hub directly to my modem originally because this was what was recommended and after they said to move hub closer to blind, I had to disconnect and pair it to phone via Bluetooth. After doing this seems worked great. Now it works great with Alexa to automatically open and close with sunrise and sunset. ... show more
