The A54 was a couple years old--starting to glitch a lot and slow down while not holding a charge for very long. This one is fast & charges quicker. The battery life isn't as great as I hoped, but it's not bad. Easy to set up, transfer my SIM, and transfer all my files via Smart Switch from my other phone. I use Cricket Wireless, but they didn't have this phone available in 512GB. Found this one here on Amazon as an open box deal and jumped on it. Well so far I'm loving it. Its much faster and does cool photo edits. I dont love that samsung went with google txt messages but thats not the phone's fault. I like that this phone has a battery optimization feature on it too so it can stop charging at a certain percentage to preserve the battery.

fter spending a few days with the Galaxy S26, the first thing that stands out is just how polished the hardware feels. At 6.3 inches, it hits that elusive sweet spot where the screen is large enough for deep multitasking and video, but the device itself remains incredibly easy to manage with one hand. The build has a dense, premium weight to it that gives you confidence in its durability without feeling like a brick in your pocket. It’s a very intentional design that balances elegance with daily usability. The performance here is noticeably a step up from previous generations, thanks to the latest Snapdragon. Everything from switching between heavy tools to processing high-resolution photos happens instantaneously. There’s a certain fluidity to the animations and app launches that makes the whole experience feel effortless. Even when I’m pushing the processor with more demanding tasks, the phone stays responsive and cool, which speaks to how well the internals are optimized this year. The display is, as expected from Samsung, the star of the show. The colors are vibrant and the brightness levels make it perfectly readable even under the harsh midday sun. Whether I’m scrolling through text or watching a movie, the clarity is stunning. We've had nothing over the last 10yrs but factory unlocked Samsung and this one I got for my wife to replace her S22 that was ineligible for me O.S. updates. She prefers smaller phones to use one- handed and Her S22 is a 6.1" screen and this is only slightly larger at 6.3", so she loves it. Also this comes with a faster 3nm chip and other newer software, the usual 7 software updates that should get her through to 2031. Been very pleased with the S26. I have always had the ultra's but I haven't really noticed the difference between them. My S21 Ultra was no longer getting updates so this one was my new pick.
