I have an older car with no built-in GPS so this was a great addition to my car. Before I used my phone but the screen is so small compared to this 7" screen. Even in bright sun reflecting on the screen I'm able to easily see the map. For the price I highly recommend getting one of these for your vehicle if you don't have a built-in navigation system. It's easy to use and I figured out everything without the manual. The battery seems to last a long time but it has an adapter to charge while you use it. You can adjust it up and down and pivots left to right to accommodate the angle so you can easily see it wherever you put it. ... show more

    • Shockingly un-intuitive
I’ve had this for about 7 or 8 months I think. It does work. Has a big enough screen & great resolution. The thing is it is really difficult to just enter an address or a place you want to go. At least it is for me. I avoid using it now because it’s such a commitment to enter a destination.

    • Maps are good, takes some getting used too, i like it (wife doesn't)
It takes some time to learn how to make it function properly. Its gps position in reference to the road itself on my unit is off by about 50 feet. it tells me to take next left or right in say 200 feet, and i may be actually sitting at the Turn Signal or Stop sign i'm needing to make the turn at, it does show the correct streets/highways however, however, like i say the distances are not that procise. My wife doesn't like it, Its harder to enter the destination address then the Garmin she is used to using. Setting the Day/Night modes appears to be problematic, may just be me, but i'm having problems trying to figure out how to turn the brightness down on the display for night driving. Auto doesn't seam to work for me, way to bright driving at night, in my Equinox. Hint - after it powers up, make sure you DO NOT try to Move/Drive the vehicle until you have selected GPS Navigation, and it shows the next page. If not, it may not show the next screen (it will be black , no map or anything) except it will start talking, telling you directions even tho, it currently isn't showing Nothing but a black screen. For me, when this happens, i have to stop, power down (or let it shutoff automatically) and then plug back in, and press GPS Navigation, and wait for next screen before moving Vehicle. Hint - Be sure to Stop/abort your last navigation point, after you arrive, or it will route you back to previous destination point (ie: where you just left). ... show more

This one did not work for me pulling my camper, sent me miles out of the way, and down some really bad roads that I didn't think were rated for campers, had to buy a truckers map and double check everything until I just gave up and used the map book alone.

I had to return this twice, first time no power on, second time couldn’t increase backlighting to see in daylight Could well be bad luck on my part. GPS otherwise looked good.

    • Great GPS for the price.
Great GPS for the price point. Mount is suction cup, but it's semi-sticky so it actually works on surfaces that the cheap ones fail on. GPS layout is ok, not a garmin but also not $250+. One thing that would make it better is if they added the ability to send it a Google url or business card via Bluetooth rather than typing destinations via the clumsy interface.
