I set this up in my dad’s car because he doesn’t like using apps on his phone while driving and prefers something more straightforward. The screen is large enough for him to glance at without leaning in, and the voice directions are spaced out clearly so he doesn’t feel rushed when a turn is coming up. He said the lane prompts helped a lot when he was driving on a new highway last weekend, and he likes being able to see the estimated arrival time without digging through menus. I picked this up as a backup navigation system to keep in our second car. My phone battery runs out fast when using GPS for long drives. This one worked right out of the box after I plug it in and set up the mount. It has voice directions that are clear and give enough notice before turns. I used it during a 3-hour drive to visit family and it works well. I also like that the screen shows your current speed and has a warning when you go over the limit. The preloaded maps seem up to date, I didn’t have any issues with accuracy. This has turned into a handy tool to have around especially for longer road trips or when I want to give my phone a break. It’s simple, does the job, and gives some peace of mind.
