    • Is not user friendly...
I had a Garmin years ago before phones and cars had good GPS. I absolutely loved it! I used it all the time and it was a life saver. But as phones got better and as my Garmin model grew outdated, I just kind of automatically switched over to Google Maps. But recently I am traveling more often and decided to get another Garmin with a larger screen as my car is older and doesn't have a built in screen. I researched it and decided a model with Alexa would be nice too as I use my Alexa fairly frequently. I was pretty excited. BUT.... I wish I had returned it. As I had loved my older Garmin so much, I thought it was a matter of just familiarizing myself with it and over time I would get used to it.....so I kept it. MISTAKE. It is NOT user friendly...there are toooo many steps and too much fussing to get the information you want quickly. Google Maps is just more streamlined. When you are driving, it makes a huge difference - you can't fuss around different steps to get the info you want; it has to be readily available and up in the screen. So then I thought I'd download Google Maps on the Garmin. I tried countless times- my son-in-law tried several times. Neither of us could get that to work either. I'm very disappointed and wish I had returned it. If you want a larger screen, use Google Maps on a tablet. Sorry Garmin, they used to be great but no longer... ... show more

    • Would anyone like to buy mine? I'll give you a GREAT deal...
I took it on a trip with me just recently but of course, after the return it time. I played a little with it before the trip, but it turned out to be a nightmare. Set up went fine, and then for the first big day of my trip somehow, the GPS turned itself into Spanish. It was a man's voice, but due to the noise in the car, I could hardly hear the guy. What I did hear was him telling me to "keep going", OK, but then it was telling me to turn left in the next thousand feet, or something close to that....I was on the freeway, no left turn exits.... absolutely nothing...came close to throwing it out the window. I was trying to make my trip easier, but it's the worst sixty some bucks I've ever spent. Oh, did I mention I also got lost? Use an App on your cell phone, save some money.     • Extremely hard to add a route
I bought this because the price was right and the reviews were good. This was the worst navigation system I have ever used. Hard to add a destination. Many of the addresses were not showing up when entered with a city name, I had to enter the zip code. My husband and I spent hours figuring out how to enter our route with all our stops on our trip to Texas from Indiana. On the way home we decided our next trip we will purchase a much higher quality system, you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this system to anyone. ... show more

    • Its not a Garmin
Finally used this GPS for a trip. What a joke. We were ready to throw it out the window! Bought the unit to replace my Garmin. It was 1/2 the cost.....and half as good. The window mount works fine but the mount to the unit side is cheap and I can find no alternatives. Volume all the way up is almost loud enough to hear with the radio on! It will do what I need (sometimes) but it doesn't have all the features I would like. Mostly, after all the data entry, this unit cant find what you're looking for anyway. Zoom out to see more roadway, HA, not going to be happy with that either. You do get what you pay for. This just is not worth it! ... show more
