I was planning on buying and inexpensive Garmin. There were so many GPS's on Amazon I clicked on the wrong item. I decided to try it out. The directions to operate are not clear but the touch screen is intuitive. It took a while to figure out how to set the display on the stand. Once I figured it out all was simple. I think it works fine , I used it on 3 trips. I decided it was worthwhile keeping. It quickly interfaces with what ever it connects to ( My 12 year old Garmin is much slower). The clock was hard to set.

This is a decent basic automotive GPS device. But the instruction book with it's chinglish instructions is pretty much useless. Fortunately, the basic functions are fairly easy to use if you are familiar with GPS devices. And don't look to their dated web page for any help - it's full of broken links and errors. You can't even download the "free maps" - trying to download one results in a "source file could not be read" error. Not that it matters anyway; the map downloads you can't download are in ZIP format with no instructions on how to install it to the device. (Safety advice: always always be wary about downloading and running ZIP files from unfamiliar sources on your computer) And their generic Outlook.com email address does not inspire a lot of confidence as to how responsive this no name manufacturer will be. So, about the only positive thing I can say about this device is "it seems to work". Otherwise, you're on your own baby! The mounting bracket is tricky to install - again, don't look to the instruction book for help. Just examine the bracket to find the locking tabs; locking the bracket to the display requires a bit more force than I felt comfortable using on the display but use some force and maneuver it a bit and it will snap into place. The first time I turned in on, it took a bit over 10 minutes to acquire a satellite. At about the 10 minute point, I was ready to pack it up and return it. But it did finally acquire the satellite and on subsequent uses it does acquire the satellite quickly - 15 seconds or less. And since you can't download map updates from their web site, it's a good thing that the installed map seems fairly accurate - although I haven't used it out of town yet. Since I was unable to ascertain the date of the installed map, and because you can't download updates, I am leery of how accurate the map is. And I'm still trying to figure out what the small weird unmarked hole on the side marked "256mb" is for. And an unmarked slot that looks like it's for a memory card - but, again, nothing in the instructions about what it's for or how to use it. My advice: bypass this one (even though it's cheap) and look for a decent name brand device with an established company that keeps their web pages up to date. I definitely would not trust this to guide me through an unfamiliar area.

I love that this is a large GPS so I can see it while driving. The maps are great for my area, where we are growing and changing quite fast. Programming a location is easy and the routes are good. My road trip with it went smoothly.

Love this gps. I’m always hesitant when making big purchases but this gps is awesome. We’re traveling the country and use it weekly. I really like how I’m able to put coordinates in and not just an address. We travel by RV/Skoolie so we can adjust the gas and time to show that we don’t go over 60 and we get 10mpg. It will tell us how long (it adjusts with our max mph) and how much fuel it should take. Super cool gps and up to date maps. Large clear screen. Definitely recommend.
