I’ve been using this treadmill for about a month and have walked over 275,000 steps while working on my computer. The bad: - When it arrived, the box and the unit smelled absolutely horrible, like garbage mixed with fish. I almost asked for an immediate return because it was so bad. However, I let the treadmill sit in the sun on my patio for a couple days, and a lot of the smell went away. For a couple more weeks I could smell a faint fish/garbage smell when I kneeled down to lubricate the belt. Now the smell from the unit is gone. I immediately put the box and packing materials in my garage and kept it in case I needed to ship it back, and it definitely stunk up my [detatched] garage for a couple weeks. Now the cardboard is just a little smelly if you sniff it. - The auto shut-off feature is weird. It generally shuts off after 90 to 95 minutes of use, but it’s not consistent. I’ve been caught off-guard a couple times during a long conference call when the unit starts beeping loudly and shutting off when I’m talking. Now I know to turn it off briefly around the 85-minute mark and restart it when I’m on mute. - The distance number on the display is totally bizarre, I can’t imagine it being correct in miles or kilometers. The step count number seems to be about 90-95% accurate. All the numbers restart from zero after the treadmill is stopped, so I’ve been tracking my steps in a spreadsheet out of curiosity. The good: - It worked right out of the box without any problems - My coworkers have told me that they can’t hear me walking while once conference calls - I think using earbuds and the noise canceling in Microsoft Teams helps.. - It’s easy to lubricate and adjust the belt (I walk 4-6 hours per day and lube it about once per week). - It’s light enough for me to move and lift myself (though it is still big and awkward to carry). - The walking surface feels quite stable and is long enough for me (I’m 6’ tall). Sometimes it feels a bit bouncy if I wear less padded tennis shoes. Overall, I’m glad I bought this treadmill. I am already worried about what I’m going to do if it breaks - I like walking so much more than sitting. I don’t expect it to last more than a couple years at this price point, but it was an easy way for me to try out a walking desk and see if it’s something I can commit to for as long as I’m working from home. It did lead to me having to buy new walking shoes/socks/insoles, so the expenses do add up! But I enjoy feeling healthier and more productive while chained to my work computer. ... show more

Pleased that it is lightweight, easy to move and store but also very stable while using. It’s a treadmill so it’s not silent but it’s pretty quiet. No odor out of the box. Today is 1/4/2024. I’ve been using the GoYouth walking pad nearly everyday since my purchase. I am a hefty lady, but well under the maximum weight limit. It is easy to use out of the box. There is no assembly needed. Included in the box along with the walking pad are instructions, silicone, remote, power cord and wrench/screw driver. I use it for walking, normally 2.5-3mph. Initially it was quiet in comparison to full size treadmills I’ve owned previously. It has since started to creak and squeak. I make sure to keep the tread area clean and have used silicone on it because it stick a little on footfalls. I have also had to adjust the roller on the back to prevent the tread from moving to the right (it’s a simple process). It is light weight and easy to move. It also stands up well and balances against the wall easily. There is a handle under the tread to assist moving it and standing it up. There are also wheels under the motor portion as well as metal feet for moving as storage. I sometimes like to move it in front of the tv and all of this makes it easy. The tread width and length took some getting used to as I have only walked on full size treadmills. It is easy to step left or right off the track, but if paying attention that’s not a bother to avoid. Since this does not have handles, I prefer to walk next to a wall with window ledge in case I sway. I don’t recommend this for someone with balance issues, a very long stride, or wide walking path. I purchased this treadmill to allow me to get exercise while working at a standing desk. It's excellent for this purpose. It's not too large and, is quiet enough to not be intrusive on phone calls. Walking at a relatively slow speed (2.5) allows me to type and use the mouse without a problem. Being that this was my first experience with a treadmill like this, I encountered issues with a mis-adjusted belt over time. I reached out to the customer service email provided in the manual and they were very helpful. They responded within 1 day and helped me to get things back on track. I must admit that I didn't expect much when I emailed them but I was extremely impressed with the support they provided. ... show more
