Based on other reviews I knew this was going to be a small coop and it is. I would suggest this only for bantams and a mother hen with chicks. I have one bantam and one bantam/regular mix and it’s enough room for only the two of them. It took my husband and I about an hour to put together. This material is the same material all our other coops are made from and they have lasted anywhere from 5-7 years with the special waterproofing paint you can buy. Yes we have pretty harsh conditions in East Tennessee from time to time and they hold up well! We do not have (at the time) any issues with predators because we live in a wide open area with trees at our fence line only. If you do have trees and places to hide around your coop I would suggest placing this coop inside a fenced or electric wired area for added protection. ... show more

Love the chicken coop. It took us about 1 Hr and 40 min to have it built. Each piece comes with it's number. Clear instructions but a bit confused when placing the ramp for the chicks. I place the 4 chicks. They seem to enjoy it. They fit really good in there. In the future I'll be looking to get another one to unify them and make it bigger. Material is not heavy or sturdy, I hope it last long. I live in a residential area and have to keep it nice and clean. ... show more

Very soft wood, may be good for a year at best. Going to have to seal the wood and attach sealed 2x4's along the bottom to hopefully decrease rot damage. Bought two and connected them with metal cloth underneath to prevent anything digging under. Placed 10 banty chickens in. Not much room for them to move about. I put it together myself and it only took me about 5 hours to complete. Directions are good, and had extra screws. Not much to keep out predators if they are determined to gain entry though so will have to figure something out for that. Decent product though. Just ok, a temporary shelter until I build a better one. ... show more

I bought this for my 2 little Bantam hens. I did a lot of research and read all the reviews, before deciding on this product. Assembly was fairly easy. Instructions state it takes 2people to assemble, I did it by myself and only took about 3 hours. I pre drilled screws holes. And I also used wood glue on all connections and screws. After all that, I personally took the time to water seal the whole thing. My girls are loving their new space!! And it looks really cute. ... show more

Love everything except the fact the wheels do not roll on anything except solid surfaces. If you keep this outside the wheels are useless. I was able to assemble by myself without any issues.

Overall this coop is significantly better than what I expected for the price. It is sturdy, and looks pretty good once put together. Assembly says something like a couple hours with 2 people, I got it done in about 30 intermittent help to hold pieces together before I secured them. The instructions/labeling of parts could’ve been a little better, but all in all not difficult to figure out. I was skeptical at first, but would definitely buy another! ... show more
