First thing one would notice about this keyboard is the beauty in the walnut wood base. The gold accents on the back that surround the manual settings switches make this so regal looking. There are no adjustable feet, just rubber grips to prevent it from sliding too easily. It does have the RGB lights under the keycaps (no backlighting), so you won’t be using this in the dark. It comes with extra Mac theme keys along with the keycap remover, extra switches (it does support 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches to make it easier to swap). This is equipped with candy switches and Cherry profile keycaps. I find Cherry profile keys a pleasure to type on; I feel more accurate with my typing. The sound when typing is nice; I consider it more a clicky than thocky. That doesn’t really bother me all that much; sometimes I just want a bit of a quieter keyboard to type on. But that doesn’t mean that you don’t get any sound, so if you like that in a keyboard, it does have it. The connection is wireless with a dongle, Bluetooth, and wired. I had no problems connecting Bluetooth; my computer found it immediately. Right now I’m using it plugged in, but the flexibility to move it around without the wire is really nice. It does have some weight to it, but it’s not overly heavy. One point to note is when using Caps Lock, the light under the key is white. So unless you have the RGB lights set to white, you have a Caps Lock indicator. While it’s not very noticeable there is an indicator. I am very pleased to have this beautiful keyboard; Yunzii makes really great products, and I’m always excited when a new product comes out. I’ve never owned a wooden base keyboard but was looking at them from time to time. My one downside point is simply the angle; I wish it were more slanted by design or came with adjustable feet. Other than that, I am over the moon with this keyboard!

This keyboard caught me off guard in a good way. The first thing you notice is the build. This is not a plastic board pretending to look like wood. It is a solid wood case, and it feels like it. The finish is excellent. Smooth, well treated, and consistent all the way around. Even the inside is finished, which you do not usually see at this price point. Typing on it is where it really stands out. The sound is that deep, table-like “thunk” rather than the higher pitched clack you get from lighter boards. If you like that kind of sound profile, this absolutely delivers. The Candy switches feel good out of the box, and the board being hot-swappable is a big plus if you want to experiment later. The PBT dye-sub keycaps are solid. They are not shine-through, which some people may care about, but that is easily solved with a keycap swap if that is your preference. RGB is there, but it is not the main attraction. It is clean and easy to control, not overdone. Connectivity has been reliable so far across Bluetooth, 2.4G, and USB-C. No issues jumping between devices. For full disclosure, I did take this apart to inspect the internals before writing this review. Everything inside matched the quality of the exterior. Apologies to Yunzii in advance, but if I am reviewing something, I am going to look at all of it. I will include photos. No keyboards were harmed in the process, and it went back together just as easily as it came apart. A couple small nitpicks. There is no place to store the USB dongle, which is kind of funny given how well thought out everything else is. For around the $90 range, this is honestly hard to beat. It looks good, feels good, and sounds great. If you like a more natural material and a deeper typing sound, this one is easy to recommend.

Please see below my impressions and thoughts: Design & Build Quality • Solid Wood Construction: Judging by the weight and texture, the body is solid wood. It feels substantial, warm, and premium. • While my Keychron keyboards are great tools, they lack the elegance of the WOOD84. This keyboard perfectly complements a walnut-themed or "classic" study room setup. • Minimalist Keycaps: The legends are very clean, contributing to a sleek, uncluttered desktop look. The User Experience • Thoughtful Extras: The package includes spare feet, extra switches, a puller tool, and dedicated macOS keycaps. • There are no foot risers. The typing angle is fixed, which may be a dealbreaker for some. • As mentioned about, because the keycaps are very clean, it lacks functional symbols, it’s difficult to use F1–F12 functions (brightness, volume, etc.) without memorizing their positions. • The sound is solid and dampened—not too loud or sharp. The multi-language manual is clear and easy to understand, but the software guidance is frustrating. It instructs you to "Click on the YUNZII official website, go to the Software page" but fails to provide a URL. Google was unhelpful. Fortunately, a specific URL for web-based key mapping is provided, which works much better than hunting for a driver. The YUNZII WOOD84 is a "furniture-grade" peripheral for those who value aesthetics as much as performance. It’s a stunning addition to a professional workspace, even if the software onboarding and fixed height present minor hurdles.
