There are a lot more LEDs on this strip. The lighting effects, amazing. Setup was easy with my Droid. All functions work! The sticky tape could be better, maybe the one I got was old stock? Sometimes the paper peel would just break away. Other than that I am very happy with this purchase. It is more money than most, but you double the LEDs and the options are off the hook. Presets for those of you that want it easy breezy. AI for those who want to tell the AI to create it for you. You can create whatever your heart desires. These Govee lights are what you want! They are super cool and work with Apple Home and Alexa, which makes it easy to control them. Setting them up was a breeze! I just installed them, connected them to the Govee app, and I was ready to go. These lights are really bright, and you can change the colors to fit your mood. There are so many colors and options! You can even make them dance with your music, which is just awesome. Govee really thought of everything! The best part is how easy they were to put up. They have strong sticky backs, so they stay in place. Plus, the package comes with clips to keep the wires neat and tidy. I’m so happy with these lights that I want to replace all my old rope lights with Govee lights! If you want cool lights that are easy to use, these are the ones for you. ... show more

These are my favorite as far as all in one solution. Although I have to look at the COB version, as it is very interesting with the crazy amount of light it gives off. With that said, this gives off lots of light as well and there are no hotspots because there are plenty of LEDs per meter. So far, I’m running one set above my cabinets in the kitchen and it looks pretty phenomenal. I found a really nice warm white along with some really classy colors to use. I will be setting it up below, standard under cabinet lighting but need to take out the current ones, then run a gap at the stove. I am debating (Direct) wiring on this Matter works very well on smart things. They did a good job and I go ahead and keep the app for this product in case I wanna fine-tune anything. I really will never get anything but RGBW (basically I want a separate white or at least tunable white LED and will never just do RGB). ... show more

I put these in my home office under some cabinets with a diffuser. Overall, I'm pretty happy. The UI with Alexa is excellent. I can adjust color and brightness easily and instinctively. I have a experienced a few glitches that give this a slightly lower rating. The real rating is more like 4.5* because I really like it. If I change the color, sometimes changing it back to white doesn't work on the first try. To remedy that, I turn the lights off, back on, and then ask to change to white. It usually cooperates. I've also had quite a few experiences where the light turned off after a few hours of use. I wondered if it that had something to do with my connection, where I turn the cord 90 degree pretty quickly. I've adjusted it a few times and it seems to be doing a bit better. ... show more

    • A true Hue competitor
While I certainly appreciate the lower end Govee strips for their versatility at their price point, this feels like Govee's flagship light strip. Pros 1. Bright. As bright as the older Philips Hue light strip it replaced if not more so. 2. RGBIC means multiple colors on a single strand, which I wanted. This isn't the only Govee light strip with it, but I wouldn't have bought it without the feature. 3. 6.5 feet is exactly as long as I needed to line the back of a desk. 4. Works with my Google Assistant without issue. 5. App is easy enough to use once you get used to it. 6. Easy to use overall, plug and play. 7. I appreciate that it came with a adhesive and also optional clips in case the adhesive didn't work. My adhesive worked fine but if it ever stops, I have the clips to put it back up. 8. There are 11 controllable zones in the app, with the multitude of LEDs, the animations and color transitions are nice. Neutral 1. Requires a hub to work with Samsung SmartThings. Not a complaint for Govee, but an FYI for you, fellow Amazon shopper. Cons 1. Provided that this thing doesn't die on me in like 6 months, I have no cons. It's exactly what I wanted. I probably wouldn't have bought this thing at full price, but with Black Friday sales, Govee has a great price to performance ratio with this light strip that outpaces everyone.
