I purchased several of these sets to go around a large whiteboard in my classroom. They are 8 feet long, so it took 4 to cover my large board. They do connect, so you only have one place to plug in. There is no "cord" to plug in, so you have to have a usb block or computer with usb very close to plug into. The colors are very bright and can be changed. I use the solid colors for noise levels in my classroom, but I can also make them alternate. My only complaint is that the remote doesn't work well. I have to press really hard and aim at one certain spot to make it work. Since I bought several sets, I tried other remotes and had the same issue with all of them. UPDATE: My cat decided to attack these and about a foot of the tape was mangled and had lots of little teeth marks. I am surprised and impressed to say only that portion of the led tape stopped working. I chopped off the bad part and the rest of it still works no problem! For me, this product was super easy to put together. The tape is strong. The color choices are top notch and the fact that you can create your own custom color is the chef’s kiss. I bought this product with the intention of cutting most of it off because I only needed about 3 feet. I thought that it was a smart strip like the other Daybetter lights I have purchased where I could use my app to control and set a custom color but unfortunately I got the wrong ones and didn't realize until after I already used one of the rolls. Even the box said I could use the app so I had no idea until it wouldn't pair. I would return it if only I hadn't cut and applied the strip already. I give the lights 4 stars because it is difficult to get colors that are not preset with the remote. 2 stars for product description. It should be clearer that this product cannot pair with the app. Edit: Changed review from 3 to 5 stars. Seller reached out to me and apologized for the confusion and refunded my order so that I could get the right type of lights. They also provided me a link to where I can just order the receiver and not have to redo the strands I've placed. 5/5 customer service. ... show more

The lights work fine. Not as bright as I'd like but they'll do. For some reason the control unit does not work well. Constantly changes to red and won't change back unless I unplug it and plug it back in. Frustrating. Update: changed my review from 3 to 5 stars after customer service contacted me and asked if they could send a replacement control box and remote. It came 2 days later and, so far, seems to be working well. 5 stars for customer service as this replacement was also well outside the return/exchange window.     • Total Ripoff and Inaccurate photo of product!!! Do NOT Buy from Daybetter!

Since the web page description does not give you the information you really need, you have to go by the product photo. I made the mistake of doing that. I ordered the 100' light strip, which came in two 50' lengths as advertised. But that's where the truth in advertising lied. What did not turn out to be true was the photo for the two 50' strips shows 30 light per meter LED strips, but I got 15 light per meter strips. They look totally different, by the way. The lights were almost 2-1/2" apart, certainly not what the photo shows. Also, the cut lines on the strips are over 15" apart, not around 4" apart as a 30 light per meter strip should have. The strip is very cheap and flimsy and the backing tape was peeling off in places. This is false advertising and confusing. I have 30 light per meter strips and they are great. The ones they sent are terrible and half as bright and did not come in a box as shown. They came in a flimsy plastic clamshell. I am thoroughly disgusted with buying Chinese crap from Amazon and putting up with false advertising. Oh, and by the way, the detailed description says there are 540 light sources, whatever that means. But if you do the math, there were around 480 LEDs per 100'.
