Directly after install: I am impressed with the brightness of these lights. I will say I had a user error originally where I could not figure out why my lights would not turn on. I do blame pregnancy brain. However, I have now acknowledged the plastic piece and my lights are working nicely 🤣 I love variety of colors for my classroom and it lights up the space very nicely. I've had these for about a year. Installed as cheap, under-the-counter and in-cabinet lights. Initially, I was very pleased. I programmed a few colors and all was well for about four months or so until the power adapter failed. Fortunately, I had a spare because I bought two kits for the extra LED strips. Replaced the power adapter and put it on a timer to prolong the life of this one only for it to fail in roughly the same amount of time. My son dug a similar power adapter out of my spare bucket and we were able to power them up again. Tl;dr everything is good but you might need to replace the 12v adapter with an alternative model, possibly with more than the listed 1A power rating ... show more

I got this for my brother on his birthday and he loves it. The package does have a weird smell, but it didn’t last for too long. Really easy to install, though we didn’t use the already adhesive side of the lights, we just taped it up because we didn’t know if it would peel off the paint.
